My Last Pink Saturday…

I am so sad to say that this will have to be my last Pink Saturday. Saturday is a very hard day for me to find time to blog. Dear and I leave the house before dawn to have our weekly walk at the beach and we never know what adventure we’ll decide on after our walk. I always feel so guilty about not getting around to all the lovely pink that day and it just makes better sense for me to forfeit this pleasure. I want to thank Beverly, who I think is a fantastic hostess, for putting this together and for being so gracious. I’ll miss my Pink friends but I’ll probably see some of you at other memes Monday thru Friday. Blessings on all of you.

So here is my Pink for my farewell to Pink Saturday Post!

I’m so excited! I think I can now be inducted into the bloggy hall of fame because I have a glass dome that I put stuff under!! I’m going to go ahead and call it a Cloche. We  just purchased it at an antique shop in Arroyo Grande on January 18th. I’ve been on the hunt for a cloche and I still might end up buying a taller, narrower one…once I hear from the “Official Bloggy We’ll Induct You Into Our Hall of Fame Committee”. The glass cake plate it’s sitting on was from Target originally but I bought it at Goodwill.

Now look at all this sweet pinkness that my bloggy friend Cori G! gifted to me when we met face to face this last Tuesday. I was blown away by all these goodies. She made all those cards, bookmarks and tags herself. She’s a great designer! The four pretty Homer Laughlin plates are from a set of 8 she has. How generous of her to split the set for me. She participates in Pink Saturday from her Gingerbread Crumbs & Co.Blog.

This last one is for Beverly. I wish I could deliver a bouquet of these sweet pink flowers to your door for being such a kind hostess.

To see more Pink visit Beverly at How Sweet the Sound.

Photobucket is holding all my photos I stored with them from 2007-2015 hostage unless I pay them a lot of money. I’m slowly cleaning up many posts from this time period and deleting their ugly grey and black boxes with a ransom request. Such a time consuming bother.

  1. As always, I have enjoyed my visit with you here this evening. You always inspire and encourage.

Enjoy the SUNSHINE tomorrow as you walk the beach with your beloved. From my gray skies to your sunshine — God is good!

  2. Don’t say good-bye, just so long for now. You’ll probably have lots of pink pop out at you during your walk tomorrow. If so, think of all of us here. Enjoy your walk with your dear — precious time together.

    All the best, Lana

  3. Ellen! I will miss you SO much, but I understand. I’m racing trying to get through this before I have to go work at a fundraiser. Have fun with your hubby. I love your posts, but I think your walks with him are much more important… and it makes me happy to know those walks make you happy!

    XO,

    Sheila 🙂

  4. Oh Ellen B.,
I know how you feel. I’m off to my belly dance class early then out for coffee and antiques hunting. Who knows were I’ll end up. I too feel the “guilt” but try and visit those that visit me during the week. Double commenting. I hope that where ever the day finds you, you have a great time! Cute post!

I’m off to blow dry my hair.

    🙂 Cori G.

  5. I can completely understand time constraints….I will not bid you good bye, but rather till another time…;)

    Enjoy your fun Saturdays!!

I am participating but didnt get my name in on time…shame on me!!
    Have a wonderful weekend!

  6. Ellen: It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood…so many blogs to visit…so little time.you said everything so lovely!

  7. Not doing Pink Saturdays is fine. I follow your blog anyway, so I always see when you post something whether is it pink Saturday or some other day. When I forgot last Saturday it was kind of nice to not do that post. So a break now and then is fine. I am going to be busy with something fun that I will be posting soon. So check back to both of my blogs when you get a chance! Have fun on Saturdays with your hubby. We should do that kind of stuff ourselves more often.

  8. You certainly may call it a cloche; after all, I called my apothecary jar a cloche! Why miss a fun thing? Just visit those you’d like later on during the week. Thanks for sharing. Happy Pink Saturday!

  9. Wish you weren’t going..but maybe on those wonderful walks, you’ll find something you just have to share with us. :). Enjoy those precious walks and have a lovely pink weekend..

  10. Gosh Ellen, I am going to miss you so much. I am having problems visiting, too. I just can’t visit this many people every week. I work all week, and I like to spend time with my family on the weekends. I may just have to accept the fact that I can’t visit every single participant, and try to mix it up each week. I’m still visiting people from last Saturday. 😉

Happy Pink Saturdays forever to you, dear one.

  11. DEAR ELLEN,
THIS IS YOUR LAST PINK SATURDAY AND MY FIRST PINK SATURDAY. I LOVE THE PICTURES. I AM SO JEALOUS YOU GET TO GO HUNTING ON A BEACH WALK…NO REALLY, I AM SO HAPPY YOU GET TO DO THAT…I HAVE BEEN TO THE BEACH ONE TIME FOR ONE DAY AND I AM 53 YEARS OLD. I WOULD LOVE TO GO BACK TO THE BEACH AND LOOK FOR SEA GLASS AND DRIFTWOOD AND ALL THE THINGS THAT MIGHT WASH UP.
I HOPE YOU WILL CONTINUE TO BLOG AND SHOW US YOUR FINDS….THE BEACH I WAS ABLE TO VISIT WAS MYRTLE BEACH, SOUTH CAROLINA.
    HAPPY BEACH WALK
    BLESSINGS
    debbie

  12. Love your cloche (I am looking for one too) I didn’t participate this week in Pink Saturday for the same reason you mentioned… TIME!

I wanted to take care of my sweetie this weekend…and not feel like I was neglecting pink posts….. I missed it….. but I know what you are talking about…so many participants!!

    Susan

  13. Hi Ellen,
This is my first Pink Saturday and your last. I’m glad that I joined as you were leaving because I never would have come across your sweet blog. I totally understand about needing to have extra time for life. I found it rather daunting leaving so many comments. I’m on day 2 of trying to catch up. I’ve had so much fun visiting all the blogs but I just wonder if this get’s too big, how in the world can we comment on every blog? It’s true what Beverly says…to space it out over several days.

I’ll stop by and visit you and I can’t wait to see more of your charming pictures.

    Deanna 🙂

  14. Love the cloche. I am on the hunt for one too!

Sorry to hear this is your last Pink post as this is my first Pink post. It has taken 4 days to get to you!

    Anyway, nice to meet you.

  15. Happy Pink Day! Well, this past Saturday was my first pink day with you all…I’m glad I found your blog before you disappeared. It’s going to take me a MONTH to get thru the list; but I don’t mind. I’m bookmarking my favourites. You live in a gorgeous part of the world, where ever it is! Please come and visit my blog too!
