Pismo Beach is on the Central Coast of California. Dear and I had an overnight escape here this last Sunday night. The skies were clear and bright.
This photo I took at dawn on Monday in Pismo Beach reminds me more of a painting than a photograph.
Dawn in Camarillo one morning this week.
Late yesterday afternoon on our walk in the neighborhood. Rain has been promised in the morning hours.
As I’m posting these on Thursday morning the predicted rain is falling steadily and freshening things up in Southern California.

Photobucket is holding all my photos I stored with them from 2007-2015 hostage unless I pay them a lot of money. I’m slowly cleaning up many posts from this time period and deleting their ugly grey and black boxes with a ransom request. Such a time consuming bother.

Beautiful shots Ellen. I love the contrast with clouds, mixed colors, blue, sparkling, you have it all in this sequence.
How different the sky looks each of those days, Ellen. The sunrise is like a watercolour painting, a little bit mysterious.
So pretty! I think the first one is my favorite: the reflection of the sun in the water is so calming.
Nice photos–looks so relaxing! But I MUST comment especially on the first one. So much going on there–brilliant sun, a bird, a helicopter, blue sky. Very nice.
I’m glad your getting some much needed ran. What a lovely place to go for a getaway!
You gave us such an awesome variety of skies! It is raining here too! We really need it but the past weeks of warm sun were wonderful!

All of them are lovely but the first one gleaming with light lights me up too. I just love that stark mirrored light on the waves.
