My daughter sent me these photos that she took at our house in Washington State today! She measured the snow at 3 inches and said it is coming down steadily…
This is the view from our front door looking at our neighbors homes.
Views looking out to our deck and garage.
My kids are staying put at home today. I hope they have a good stash of food to eat :0)
We even got snow in our Southern California Mountains and in some lower elevations.
Photobucket is holding all my photos from 2007 to 2015 hostage and has replaced them all with ugly black and grey boxes asking for a ransom to have them re-published. Such a frustrating bother as I go through each post to delete the ugly boxes.
How fun. We have snow on the ground and it just started raining and we heard some thunder again—crazy for Dec.
I thought of you immediately when I heard it was snowing there!
Hope you are well; I missed you! Now I’m off to catch up a little. . .

That is a great shot of the mountains. I just got home, need to eat dinner and THEN I’ll upload my photos from today.
Hi Ellen B.,
Oh to have snow…it looks so beautiful that I think it would be hard to stay indoors.
It sounds like you have a fun and busy weekend ahead of you, but who’s Miss Hope? I don’t think I remember her in any of your posts.
I miss having huge Christmas cookie baking parties. Those are so much fun. If you have time you should stop in at some of the antiques shops in Orange. There’s a new shop called “The Heavenly Hostess.” It’s very expensive, but they have the most darling aprons and other accessories. Come to think about it you seem to be up here a lot. If you ever have free time you should give me a call and we could meet for a cup of tea or a latte :).
I can’t wait to see the pictures from your cookie baking day!
Have fun,
Cori G.

I love your beautiful photographs! The snow looks so pretty!

This storm hit the whole coast, top to bottom. The snow in your photos looks so fresh, and perfect! We have had some nights in the 20’s but not much rain. I’ve been dancing with the sugar plum ants who are cold and coming indoors to warm up.
Lovely snow scenes, Ellen…. but it also looks cooooooold!!! We are supposed to have a couple of warm days this weekend, but we will pay for it starting Sunday and next week. The temperature is supposed to drop to below 10.
