Hebrews 1:3

He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

  1. Sustaining all things by His powerful word—that is going to be my pondering scripture for the day. hmmmm. As far as the rose, all I can tell you is that is off of my FAVORITE shrub rose bush that grew to be 9 feet tall this year. It is my favorite but the name tag got lost. I am in awe every day of its blooming life.

  2. WOW – the perfect pictures to go with that verse! I have used that word a lot in groups of non-believers that come to our Bible Study!

And one day, we will radiate His glory in the full – what an amazing thought!

Thanks for the spiritual encouragement, Ellen.

    Have a blessed day!

  3. Ellen, thank you for your reminder about taking pictures on our trip. And about the battery charger. I love how God puts caretakers in my life in so many ways—thinking for me, reminding me. I LOVE IT! I must say your blogging has been a HUGE reminder to look for beauty again in life. Whenever I started following your blog it was like God reawakened my senses to His world. After massive burn out it has been so sweet to my spirit to come to you blog and just drink in. SO ENCOURAGING—I thank my God for you so often. I’m going outside real quick and make sure there isn’t a marker on that rose bush.

  4. I love God promptings. I went outside and saw a little bit of a tag on that rose bush—it got really buried. The rose bush is a Shrub variety: Bonanza (cv. KORmarie, Miss Pam Ayers). It says Weeks Roses on it. I don’t know if that tells anyone anything. I just buy from looking at pictures. 🙂

  5. Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog. I love verses like this, too! Our minds cannot fully understand that radiance and power that created and sustains. Praise God we will some day!
