Whenever we take the Edmonds/Kingston Ferry across the Sound to the Kitsap Peninsula we pass a gas station that has these carved pieces all over their grass area. It always grabs my attention and makes me smile but we’ve never stopped until this last summer on our way back from Port Gamble. There were bloggers in the car so there was no excuse not to stop. Then we saw their fabulous sign “Take Photos Have a Good Time” A sign that speaks to the heart of a blogger!!
Have a wonderful day and a special “shout out” to my friends Dave and Beth who pass this site way more than me!!
For more Blue Monday visit Smiling Sally our hostess.
Photobucket is holding all my photos from 2007-2015 hostage demanding a ransom that I can’t afford. So frustrating as I try to clean up my posts and delete their ugly squares of black and grey off my blog posts!
What lovely carvings. They look familiar. Where are they?
Happy Blue Monday!

I haven’t been on that ferry since I was a little girl. I grew up in Shoreline with grandparents who lived in Edmonds. What a lovely place, and nothing beats a ferry ride! My Blue Monday post is all about the Puget Sound too!

Exactly what I said today, I went to the mall with my daughter, she was horrified I stopped to take a few pictures….I said, that is what is wrong with the world…people do not stop and smell the flowers. She said, Mom, you are not smelling flowers….I just smiled and said, maybe not…but nothing wrong with snapping a few shots along the way……for the blog.
Great Blue Monday post. Loved it.

How great! I especially love the big old guy with the ice cream cone :0). Have a fantastic day!
Incredible fantasy figures! Good to see public displays like this aimed to stir a smile!

Isn’t it funny how our friends recognize the need to take these photos before our families accept it? My husband almost doesn’t even roll his eyes anymore. Almost. 😉
Oh my gosh, the one with the pink dress—too funny. Somebody had fun.
Those are fabulous! I don’t remember them though? We will just have to go and see them!!
