It’s time to join Katrina at Callapidder Days for another round of Reading Fun starting September 22 and going till December 20th.
Fall is filling up with obligations on my part so I’m only going to put a few books on my Fall reading list. I’ll be reading my Bible on my quest to read every book of the Bible several times in a month before I move on to the next. I’m in the book of Mark right now. So here are the other books on my list.
Beatrix Potter -A Life of Nature ~ by Linda Lear
Father Brown Crime Stories ~ by G.K. Chesterton
Transforming Grace ~ by Jerry Bridges
The Heart of the Family ~ by Elizabeth Goudge
Green Dolphin Street ~ by Elizabeth Goudge
I might even re-read The Wind in the Willows
Happy Tea and Reading Weather to one and all. Enjoy…

Photobucket is holding all my photos that I posted on my blog from 2007-2015 hostage and replaced them with big black and grey boxes with threats. So discouraging…as I’m slowly trying to clean up thousands of posts!
I love Wind in the Willows. I read it last year and watched a really great video where the people were sort of dressed up like animals. Bob Hoskins was the badger! hee! It was so much fun to watch.
I happen to won A Little Princess, one that was illustrated by Tasha Tudor. It is such a treasure. Happy reading!
happy reading!
as I finished Treasure Island I haven’t started another book, a strange thing for me NOT to have a book partly read……
Good morning, Ellen! Those seem like they are great books! 🙂 Love that teapot!
I love your choices! All favourites.
I’m reading Mark now too – are you on the read 20 times plan? It’s from an old pamphlet called by James Gray the founder of Moody.

I finished Ephesians – and found that I retained it in a way I never really did before. And now I’m on Mark.
oops – I mean written by James Gray – not called
Hi Kathie! Yep I am on the 20x plan and it really has done good things for my retention!
The first couple sound especially interesting to me, I might be adding them to me ever-growing list.
BTW, I had the Mistylook theme up before changing it this morning, but how do you get a different background? My background was just beige-ish.
What lovely pictures! And the Beatrix Potter book looks very interesting. I just saw the movie Miss Potter recently, and it’s piqued my interest in her.
Thanks for being part of Fall Into Reading ’08!
I love that tea pot! I am looking forward to the Goudge series and you are going to like Father Brown!!
To complement your reading of Beatrix Potter, I recommend the watching of the DVD Miss Potter… Oh I see Katrina has mentioned this already. And for G. K. Chesterton, after your Father Brown series, you might like to read The Man Who Was Thursday. You’ll really enjoy it!
Arti, Thanks for your recommendations. I have watched the Miss Potter dvd and thoroughly enjoyed it. I’m going to look out for The Man Who Was Thursday…
I saw the Beatrix Potter book on someone else’s list as well. It looks really interesting to me. My Grandmother would always read those books to us and I love learning about my favorite authors.
ah, what a lovely idea… your reading list!! I love reading too…but my reading habits are a little more disorganised!
Annie
I have a different Jerry Bridges book on my list: Respectable Sins. I’ve also seen Elizabeth Goudge on someone else’s list.
Thanks for sharing. You have some good selections. Happy reading!
Is Green Dolphin Street a new one by Eileen? Have not heard of that one. Like her books.
Hi Nise, this one is by Elizabeth Goudge not Eileen. Elizabeth isn’t living any longer on earth. I haven’t read any of Eileen’s but have seen a lot of them when I’m scrounging around for books by Elizabeth Goudge! :0)
I love your tea pot.
Happy Reading~
