Ruby Tuesday

When we were in downtown Seattle the week before last we walked past Truck Co. No. 1 and Water Tower No. 1 in Pioneer Square.  A Ruby Tuesday moment for sure. Then I spotted these great ruby doors on the side entrance to the station.

Photobucket is holding all my photos from 2007-2015 hostage on their site and have replaced my photos with black and grey boxes of ugliness. I’m slowly deleting those boxes from my blog and trying to update so many posts, very frustrating.

  1. I know that fire trucks must look very visible, and that’s why most of them are red.

But most impressive because they are large, loud and really screaming RED! As a grownup, they are just as impressive to me as the were four decades ago as a kid.

The doors are great, side opening and RED. You chose well your rubies this week!

  2. You’re looking good here, Ellen. I have quite a few fire engine pictures, yours is a neat one with a back seat driver to help get around the corners. There was a comedy movie using that driver position commandeered by a non-fire fighter but I can’t remember who or what. Mrs. Jim can’t either. 🙂

  3. Oh those big red doors. I used to live very close to a fire station, and did a photographic shoot (college project) of a day in the life of a the firemen. It was great fun :O)

  4. Two great shots. Is it my imagination or is that a REALLY big fire truck? It’s beautiful for sure. Love the doors too. Nice reflections in the windows.

  5. Wow, Ellen… I am off the internet for a little less than 24 hours, and look at all the posts you have added! I am in for a treat! 🙂

Interesting looking doors. Are they still functional? They have an old look to them.
