For my third Pink Saturday I’m combining Pink with my love of all things Beatrix Potter. I started my collection of Beatrix Potter figurines in 1973 while in England. I’ve picked out 3 of my 27 figurines. These three have pink on them and I am sharing the book they come from and an excerpt from the book.
The first figurine is of “Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cottontail” from The Tale of Peter Rabbit.
Next is “Hunca Munca” from The Tale of Two Bad Mice
The third figurine I’m sharing is “Goody Tiptoes” from The Tale of Timmy Tiptoes
Happy Pink Saturday everyone. Hope you enjoyed a little of my Beatrix Potter Collection. To see more Pink Saturday Posts visit our gracious hostess Beverly at How Sweet the Sound…
Photobucket is holding all my photos from 2007-2015 hostage on their site and have replaced my photos with black and grey boxes of ugliness. I’m slowly deleting those boxes from my blog and trying to update so many posts, very frustrating.
I love Beatrix Potter! Can you believe I have never heard of the Timmy Tiptoes book???
I love Beatrix Potter. Did you see the movie with Renee Zelweger? It was so darling. I loved her bedroom with the stairs going up on either side and the bed in a raised section. Love that kind of stuff.
Ellen B., you must have a huge house to store all your trinkets in :).
What a great collection you shared. Your photography of your items is really eye catching.
Happy Pink Saturday!
take care,
Dawn
Beatrix Potter and Pooh. They will never be out of fashion.
Those are real treasures!
(and I agree with Dawn, your photography of your treasures just gets better and better!)
I adore Beatrix Potter’s works, and how fun that you shared the figures with pink. I have a few, too.
Happy Pink Saturday.

What a sweet post! I think the Hunca Munca figurine always speaks to me – her little babies are sooo cute all squeezed in that little crib.
Adorable! I too have the Petter Rabit book collection and some dishes (for baby). Love it! Vanessa

Have a wonderful pink day,
Shelia 🙂
Hi! Your post is just precious! Love Beatrix Potter! I saw below that your nephews spent a few summers in Africa working at an orphanage. My cousin (female) just left Monday, to spend a year, as a teacher in an orphanage in Africa, also! She is being funded and supported by her church, while there! “Small world!” 🙂

So sweet this post on Beatrix Potter…who used lots of pink and red touches in her watercolors. I’ve always loved the tales of B. Potter. I remember as a child taking out those small green books are the grade school library–the musty, dusty smell of the old books. Late I was given a book with the collected tales–a treasure! Happy weekend to you, and thanks for stopping by ((HUGS))
What a terrific Pink Saturday Post! I, too, love Beatrix Potter. I have one little figurine given to me by a dear friend who knows I’m a bunny lover. When my son was born, his Great Aunt gave him a beautiful set of dishes that were Wedgewood children’s design. My daughter didn’t receive any, but years later I found a delightful B. Potter set at an antique store and bought it for her. Of course, they were never used by my kiddos, but deeply cherished. I love your blog, by the way!!
Very cute post! I love your Beatrix Potter collection. That reminds me, my husband gave me a BP child’s dinner set a couple of days after I told him that I was pregnant (13 yrs. ago). I still have it in the box. We had no idea I would give birth to twins… so, I guess the kids will have to split the set one day. 🙂 xoxo, Joanna
I love Beatrix Potter! I have collected oodles of chinaware for teatime. My children all had their morning “porridge” in BP ware. I love her tales, her personal story, and all the rest. I have an entire china dedicated to my BP ware. Last Christmas I set and entire BP table for my church tea — adorable and sweet. Thaks for sharing a peek of your pink. : )
I love all of them!
Thanks for sharing!
Happy PINK Saturday!
Donna
I think your collection is so pretty. I love liking something so much and starting a collection of it. Some people don’t understand “collecting pretty things”. Your collection is just darling. Thank you for sharing it!
I love your post! Your figurines are just adorable, and how you showed a couple pages from the books they came from was very clever! I enjoyed it very, very much!
I adore the Beatrix Potter stuff…too cute…thanks for sharing.
Also, thanks for stopping by my place on Pink Saturday 🙂 Happy number 3 to ya too.
Hi, love the collection, how sweet! Thanks so much for your comment over at Clover Yard. I too, would love to visit Hill Top farm. So near, yet so far!! Did you know that it’s our beloved Beatrix Potter’s birthday today (28th July). Wish we could all meet up with her for tea, cake and stories!
