W is for Weather-vanes
When we are both in town and available Willow, from Willow’s Cottage, and I try to walk each day for an hour. We trade off walking in my neighborhood and hers. All of these weather-vane photos are from our walks in her neighborhood, except for this last one.

Photobucket is holding all my photos I stored with them from 2007-2015 hostage. They have blacked out all those photos on my blog posts. OH BOTHER! Iām slowly cleaning up my posts.
I love the quail weather-vanes. Is that a local motif? I’ve never seen them before!
Hi Kim, Quails are the state bird of California so I’m guessing that’s why we have these vanes here…
wow..you have lots of weather-vanes shots š
Please visit mine also in here Thanks
nice shots of your weather-vanes
Mine in here at My Imaginary Travels. Thanks
These weather vanes are very lovely. We have only weather vanes on churches, most of them cocks.
WOW! Nice choice;)
You really got a lot of them here and they are so great all of them!
So many good ones. Hope they tell yoy how the weather will be:)
Weather vanes are very popular today and I almost posted one also.
Nice selection.
Our W’s are big.
Come visit,
Troy and Martha
I’m so glad I stopped by.. these are stunning… I have a thing for these.. I took a picture only last week of a cottage with ivy growing over the gable, when I got home and looked at it the weather vane had a fox on it..
Got your messageabout SW..never mind.. enjoy the wedding.

I really love peeking in on your world. I’ll put you up on my prayer board in my bathroom to pray for your week. It’s what I see each day and ask God to show me how to pray. I’m thinking supernatural strength from Him would be a good start. Love the weather vanes—the pig is pretty funny.
great shoots
I think I like the couple in love weather vane the most… the pig one is quite cute too.
Have a great evening! š
These weathervanes are wonderful. I don’t think there are any in my neighborhood.
You didn’t seek in vain!!
That is a great collection of weather-vanes. Very nice!
I LOVE these, Ellen. I have started a file of weathr vanes that I’ll post one day. So far, you’ve found many more than I have. š
Seems like these weather vane come in all shapes and sizes. Happy Wednesday
Now that—is some neat pictures! What a wonderful collage of weather vanes! I have missed my visits here! I have got to finish up my book project and get back to visiting and poking around!!!

Great string of Ws–love the quail weather vane.
Very good! This series of photos put a smile on “Louis’s” face!

Thank you for visiting my blog. Your weather-vanes are great…what a good W choice. One of my favourite weather-vanes is the Old Man Time on top of one of the stands at Lords Cricket Ground, in London. I think it’s quite famous.
Now that is a unique post, really excellent.
Great collection of weather vane pictures.
Wonderful.

What a fun collection of weather vanes.
Loved the broken piggy one!
According to the wanes, the wind is going to blow from all directions at once.
A great idea!
Oh these are so chic, so artistic, so beautiful! A perfect choice for letter “W” and a perfect set of photos!
Inspired by your pics, I will try to find such a chic wheather vane and will put it on the balcony of my flat in Istanbul! I say “I will try to find” because we unfortunately do not have the tradition to put weather vanes on our roofs in my country!
I love these! I have always wanted one, but have no place to mount it on my house. I really like the pig!
Wonderful collection of weather vanes.
I would say you have been out WEATHER VANE WATCHING. Great captures.
Andrea
What a fantastic collection!
Oh boy… the weathers vanes are super awesome…. hehe… the piggy one made me giggle!
What a great collection of weather vanes! Well done.
Oh, these are wonderful! I used to “collect” chimney pots, so I spent a lot of time looking at roofs, but I’ve never seen such a lot of weather vanes. Did the pig get tired of flying?
Great collection!
Happy WW!
Well, what a fine and interesting collection!
Great post for W…
Weather vanes are a secret passion of mine. I love them.
What great designs there are, lovely!
Hi!
So many weather vanes youĀ“d collected!! And so different they are….
I like them all, but the pig is so funny laying there in the flower pot.
What a fantastic collection of weather vanes….people are so creative…who would have imagined a dancing couple, or a forest of trees, and I think I like the sailing ship the best.
Wonderful photos of weather vanes.
All my life I have wanted a weather vane on my home.
Perhaps when I move to my next house, my wish will come true.
What a lot of weather vanes! They’re not so usual here.
All quite neat! I like the one with the couple dancing best tho.
I like that very much! Came via David.
Lovely W-choice. All of the Weather-vanes are great!
Lovely shots! Very nice W-post:)
excellent collection of weather vanes you have. and how perfect that you Walk With Willow!
“Louis” thanks you for your visit to San Francisco Bay Daily Photo.
“Louis” is up past his cowbell in a work project for the next several weeks, so he may stop by and take a look but not sign the ‘guest registry’.
