Photo Hunters ~ Anything Goes!

This little replica of Anne Hathaway’s Cottage in Stratford-on-Avon was built at the Dallas Arboretum. The roof is an authentic roof thatched by Irishman William Cahill. We were in Dallas, Texas last weekend and got the chance to stroll through the beautiful grounds of the Arboretum.

Photobucket is holding all my photos from 2007-2015 hostage and they have blacked them all out. I’m slowly working at restoring my posts without their help. Such a tiresome bother!

  1. Beautiful shots of the replica of the cottage. There is something so appealing to me about cottages of that style. I went to Stratford-on-Avon when I was in England for a summer when I was a teenager. The only thing I really remember about the short side trip we took to Stratford-on-Avon was seeing a production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream while we were there. I guess I can be forgiven my sketchy memories since it was 34 years ago.

  2. Don’t we all dream of houses like Anne’s! I think so! The photos are so beautiful and clear! I’m glad you were able to take your trip to Dalles and bring it all home to share with us!!

  3. Oh my goodness that is just so cute! I thought for sure that this photo was taken somewhere in your travels in Great Britain.

  4. That looks so sweet, but I went to the real Anne Hathaway’s cottage in Stratford-Upon-Avon and it’s quite a bit bigger than that looks. But the setting is lovely. Great choice to share today. πŸ˜€

    Happy weekend.

  8. What a quaint little cottage. WE visited the original last year and I thought I remembered it being bigger than that – and I see from the plaque that it is!
