Thankful Thursday ~ Psalm 19: 7-11

I am so thankful for God’s word and the power it has in a believer’s life…

Psalm 19: 7-11 (ESV)

“The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple;

the precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the  commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes;

the fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the LORD are true, and righteous altogether.

More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb.

Moreover, by them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward.”

I am also so thankful that the winds in Southern California have died way down and the firemen are able to get a better handle on controlling the remaining fires out here. Still praying for the thousands of displaced people and the heartache that losing everything brings, especially losing the place where you laid your head each night!

  6. I love the picture of the Bible and other study aids. My 2 year old lines his pictures Bibles up like that, too. Its amazing that even at a young age God’s Word is powerful him.

  7. First of all I just love your blogger header – I am from England and it reminds me so much of a beautiful English scene.

    Amen to the winds dying down. I have been watching the fires on TV from Canada and I cannot imagine the devastation and destruction.

    But thank you Lord that you are the restorer and repairer of broken lives and dreams.

    Enjoyed your blog tonight – thanks
