Tea for Two in my Library
Welcome back
I’m including this recipe for tea sandwiches that my mom made for us a while back. .
Curried Chicken Tea Sandwiches
INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups cubed, cooked chicken, 1 medium unpeeled red apple, chopped, 3/4 cup dried cranberries, 1/2 cup thinly sliced celery, 1/4 cup chopped pecans, 2 tablespoons thinly sliced green onions, 3/4 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing, 2 teaspoons lime juice, 1/2 teaspoon curry powder, 12 slices breadLettuce Leaves
DIRECTIONS
- In a bowl, combine the first six ingredients. Combine mayonnaise, lime juice and curry powder; add to chicken mixture and stir to coat. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. Cut each slice of bread with a 3-in. heart-shaped cookie cutter. Top with lettuce and chicken salad.
So happy you stopped by my library for tea. You can still see more tea parties at Make Mine Pink.
Any photos missing from my posts are the result of Photobucket blacking out all my photos that I stored on their site since 2006.
Lovely! I really like your blue tea set! I would love to join you in the library for tea!
Good morning Ellen,

Gorgeous! I must know more about the blue tea set. Can you tell me about the pattern, what it’s called? I love it!
Jules, The set is Johnson Brothers/English Chippendale/design pattern 103232. I bought the service for 4 at a model home sale from the tract home neighborhood we lived in in Ventura, California. TMI ? Now my kids will know where it came from when they divide up my goodies amongst them after I go to my better heavenly home! blessings…
You have two sets of lovely tea things. Just gorgeous!
I love curry chicken, I’ll be right over please save one for me. This is the first time I have seen that Johnson Bros. pattern in blue, it’s really beautiful.
I love the blue, with just a hint of yellow. Gorgeous! Thanks for stopping by our garden tea party this morning. It’s so nice to have visits from those who can truly appreciate it!
Ok, you’re having too much fun. That was a great lay out.
Everything was beautiful.
Oh My Gosh! That blue is just gorgeous! Loving this so much. ~ Lynn
This is so odd. I have the moss rose set of china. It is from one of the four grands, but two of them had it, so not sure which Gram gave it to me. And, your blue looks just like my Gram Fern’s set, of which I have several pieces.
But, here’s the BIG question. Are you really preparing this food each day, or were these photos of a preveious party?
Blessings, Kim
Kim, Glad to hear your gram gave you these dishes! Here’s the skinny on the food! Lana G! bought the food for her tea staging and then she gave me her leftovers lol… This was pure staging because we didn’t find out about this blog tea party deal till late in the game…So all the food is the same except I cut out the little heart shapes from some raisen bread I had 🙂
blessings…
Simply lovely! The blue china is beautiful ~ and the sandwiches look scrumptious!
Blessings,
Trish
I just love your blue and white tea party! What beautiful dishes and settings! The tea sandwiches look like something I would love to try too!
All I can say is WOW! There’s nothing more charming than blue and white. Great job on a fantastic table decor!
Happy tea party!

Oh you went to too much work. For me? Well, thankyou.
Where should I sit?
It’s beautiful, thankyou for the lovely tea service.
Oooooh! I like this one even better than the Moss Rose Tea Party! This is my favorite color combination – blue, white and yellow. Just beautiful! And what better place than a library!
Speaking of libraries, I think Elizabeth Goudge books can still be found in the public libraries – have you tried that? Then you might know which ones you want to buy for yourself whenever you find that used book store that has some! Or, you can buy them at bn.com’s used books section if you buy on the internet.
In awe of your georgeous layouts! I want to join your tea parties in your moss room and in your library 🙂
Ellen, what a gorgeous tea party! I just love all the white and blue, thank you for inviting us over!
Kelli
Swoon… you have a perfect touch! Love, love, love it all.
what a wonderful tea party thankyou
