Psalm 1 ~ The Way of the Righteous

Psalm 1 (ESV)

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord and on his law he meditates day and night.

He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.

The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgement, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous; for the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.

  1. That last picture is great! While visiting the family farm last fall we watched as the corn was harvested. As the chaff blew in vast clouds from the harvest I finally saw the meaning of that verse. I asked the girls if they knew what I was thinking and they both recalled, and recited, the verse.
Lovely idea to use the pictures with the verse… may I use this idea sometime?
    Blessings, Kim

Kim, Take the idea and run with it, girl! What a great visual lesson for your girls. Blessings.

  2. Pictures are such a wonderful way of cementing concepts into our brains!
I will carry these images with me for the rest of the day!
