Update on the Crown Creek Fire north of us.

This is a map of the Crown Creek Fire that is 0% contained in our area. Green means be ready, yellow means get set, red means GO!
Our home’s approximate location is the blue dot. We are not in eminent danger at this time.
For those of you who pray, please do add our firefighters and community to your prayer list. The work is exhausting, the air is unhealthy and the anxiety is high. Families from our church have been evacuated. Thank you for your prayers!
This isn’t the only fire burning in our state. The Katy Fire is another active fire across the Columbia river from us, in our neighboring county. The evacuation map for that fire has gotten larger this week, too.
I’m adding this map above to give you perspective of where Colville is located in the state of Washington. Canada is above the state. We are in the Northeast corner of the state.
Thank you friends for your prayers and concern. Hope all is well in your corner of the world.
From Spurgeon on Isaiah 43:2

Praying even as I type this, my friend.
…I’ll be thinking of you, take care and be safe.
I’m praying for you and your family and all those impacted by the fires.
Praying for your part of the world and those firefighters. Fire Season is upon us.
I hope they can get that fire contained asap! I’ve been using an app called Watch Duty, that gives me updates on all the fires in counties I select – there are so many fires in California right now, too near people I care about, that my phone has been buzzing many times every day.
Hello,
I hope the fire fighters, you and all in the area stay safe from the wildfires. Take care, have a great weekend.
I certainly will be praying!!
Ellen, praying the Lord consumes that fire and the danger is greatly diminished. Thank you for this update.
Dear God, Please protect Ellen and her family and friends. Please give strength to the weary firefighters. Please help them to contain the fire as quickly as possible. We are thankful that you are always with us and that your grace is sufficient. Amen
Please keep us updated as you can.
Praying for the safety, strength and courage of the firefighters during these terrible fires. Also praying that God protects you and your property – please keep us updated when able.
Praying that this wildfire will soon be fully contained and for the safety of the firefighters! We went through wildfire evacuation once, and it taught us a lot about being better wildfire evacuation prepared–I blogged about that a few years ago. Last summer a wildfire was located close to us and thankfully air support and two Hot Shot firefighter groups that could deal with high rocky terrain were able to control it in about a week. We were fortunate that there were no high winds to make embers fly!
