Purple Campanula
July is coming in hot! Today is predicted to be the hottest day this week, 97F. How are things in your corner of the world?
Happy Canada Day to our neighbors in the North!
Reminders from our Sunday sermon: Fight the good fight, the good spiritual fight. Don’t fight the wrong fight. Salvation is by grace alone, by faith alone, through Christ alone. Stay faithful to the Gospel. Rest on the Gospel not your good works. We are not saved by our good behavior or good works. Bad doctrine and bad behavior go together. Don’t violate your conscience. Your faith and your conscience are not separable.
I was saved when God called me and I asked forgiveness for my sins and put my faith on the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the Son of God, who died on the cross for my sins, rose from the dead, and is my Lord and Savior. He paid the penalty I could not pay and I am eternally grateful.
Those colors are beautiful! And such a deep purple!
Thank you, Nicole. Thank you for your visit to my blog.
…the purple campanula is a knock out!
Tom, I knew I could count on you for the name of that plant! Thank you!
Good WORD Ellen! Thank you for sharing it along with your beautiful garden! 🙂 Happy July!
Monica, you are very welcome. Happy July to you, too.
Beautiful flowers and I love the butterfly.
Happy July! Take care, have a great day!
Eileen, thank you!
You have been blessed with such beautiful flowers and plants on your property! Thank you for the encouraging words of scripture and your testimony.
Elaine, it is a blessing for sure. I didn’t plant one of them and I’m thankful they keep coming back every year! Thank you for your visit and encouragement.
Those flowers are stunning. The colors are so vivid! Today won’t be as hot here as it will be at your place but it’s warm. I’ve got the fan on me as I type this. 🙂 Lately I’ve been remembering when I first gave my life to the Lord, the circumstances from which He saved me. And how grateful I am that He called me. Saying “Thank you” just doesn’t seem to be enough.
I agree, thank you is not enough. I think obedience would be more fitting. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I appreciate it.
59 years ago today, my family immigrated (through all the legal requirements) from Southern California to Canada. I was 16 years old and it was exciting. Turned out that we lived there for only 5 months (a much shorter stay than originally expected) but it was a rich experience for me that I am grateful to have.
Barbara, like I said on your blog, I enjoyed reading your memories of your immigration experience! 🙂
Such beautiful flowers. Gosh that sounds very hot! What a beautiful butterfly. What variety is it? B x
Barbara, I’m not sure. Maybe a black swallowtail?
Google says it’s a Lorquin Admiral.
The summer colors are gorgeous. Amen to your sermon reminders!!!!!
Karen, thank you!
Wow, those purple bellflowers are stunning!
Thank you, Ann. Between you and Tom I can get the right names for my flowers!
Love nature’s bells – so sweet!
Amazing !!!
Summer is not my favorite season, but there are many things to love about it and beautiful color is one of those things! I so enjoy the green of grass and trees, and the colorful blooms in my yard. I also love to take drives and see what is blooming around my town. Thank you for sharing the lovely things blooming in your corner! God’s creation is ever amazing!
Beautiful post. The flowers are gorgeous.
