Thursday June 12th
On Thursdays my posts will include verses that stood out in my readings from the Bible during week. One, two, three or maybe more. If you have a verse/verses that you read during the week and would like to share, leave it/them in the comments and I will add it/them to the post. Let’s dig deep in God’s Truth again this year!
The verses that you share are appreciated and so encouraging, I’m thankful for them and for each of you!
Hebrews 10:19-25
Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus, by the new and living way that he opened for us through the curtain, that is, through his flesh, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
From Vera:
“God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?”
Numbers 23:19 ESV
From Jan:
In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe.
Psalms 4:8.
From Karen:
I Peter 5:7
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

…I wish you a wonderful Thursday.
Happy Thursday Ellen! Take care, enjoy your day!
I have been reading Ecclesiastes in several different versions. There are so many great verses to share I wouldn’t know where to begin. Thank you for sharing Gods Word here!
Monica, the Bible is so full and complete! Thanks for stopping by.

Jan, thanks for this verse that I will share on tomorrows post with all that is going on in our world right now…
We can see The Day approaching! Fear not, Hold fast, Eyes on Jesus! Thanks for that scripture, Ellen.
Deb, thank you! Holding fast with those eyes on the One who paid the price for us.
This verse mentions encouraging one another. The encouragement of Christians is the best. The lack of it is hard to bear.
Amen to that, Barbara!
I was reading in Hebrews this morning for my devotional time. I love these verses remind us to stir up and encourage one another. Something we can do even through our blogs. Isn’t that a blessing??!
Jennifer, It’s what keeps me blogging. Thanks for stopping and leaving this encouragement!
