Puzzled

I bought this puzzle in honor of our coo sighting in Scotland. It was a very difficult puzzle.

We finally were able to finish it the end of last week with the sad realization that a piece was missing. We’ve looked everywhere and all the floors in the house have been vacuumed so that is that. We remain puzzled as to where that missing piece might be.

JJ came over on Monday and he helped me finish a 12 days of Christmas puzzle. Oops, I didn’t take a photo of the completed puzzle. It was refreshingly easy after the difficult Coo puzzle. JJ also organized the Little People nativity.

We had snow on Tuesday night into Wednesday that turned to rain and melted all the snow off the main roads.

We are pretty well set except for our Christmas meals. We have our cut of meat ordered and the menu set. I’m hoping to bake some cookies that I have the ingredients for, too. How are things in your corner?

  1. sweet photos of JJ and your coo puzzle is so cute. My s-in-l had a 1000 piece puzzle and found the last piece was missing. She got so miffed she called the company up and got them to send her that missing piece πŸ™‚ Beautiful snow scenes. Sounds like you are ready for next week.

  2. I love that puzzle, but I’m not sure I’d be brave enough to try it! lol I’ve got a 300 piece nativity puzzle set, ready for me to work sometime today or tomorrow. I really like the puzzle JJ is working too. Have a blessed and merry Christmas!

  3. I really wish for snow here for Christmas, but it’ll be a surprise if we get it. It looks cozy in your corner. Nothing like having children around who anticipate Christmas. Jade came over yesterday and her first comment was about the fact that I had no presents under the tree yet! I guess I better get serious about wrapping.

  4. Oh that looks like a hard one. Too bad about the missing piece but don’t give up yet. I had a piece missing once and found quiet a long time after ward under a cushion on the couch. Don’t ask me how it got there!!!

  5. Yes, I would say that puzzle looks quite challenging…but I love it! What do you do with your puzzles after all that hard work? Just wondering.

    • Jennifer, when we are done with a puzzle we just break it apart and put it back in it’s box. Lately on very hard puzzles I’ve kept all the edges separate in a plastic zip lock baggie in the box. If we like a puzzle enough to complete it again we keep it, if not we donate it or sell it at a garage sale.

I read all comments and appreciate them.
