Pitlochry, Scotland

We’ve had two beautiful day in Pitlochry. We arrived for their best summer weather! This is where we are staying for two nights. We ate at the Old Mill in the village center. The time difference between our home and Scotland is throwing me for a loop with my posts. When I get home I’ll double back and fill in all the details of our trip. Cheers!

  1. I LOVE the pubs in UK! The food is fabulous, the cider is great and the people are friendly.

Who chooses the bnbs and hotels? And how do you decide where to stay?

    Enjoy your travels! Cheers! Willow

    • Willow, it took a lot of research we put our heads together for a couple of the places to stay and then the ‘kids’ left it to me to choose the rest. We narrowed down the places we wanted to see with considerations on the driving times, etc. We didn’t want to drive ourselves crazy. We chose the ‘must sees’ and worked around them. I connected to a couple travel forums for Scotland which were very helpful, too.

  2. Hi Ellen, I’ve just been catching up on your Scotland posts. It’s great to see that you all arrived safe and sound and your days are full of lovely places, food, and so much else! Looking forward to more postcards from Scotland! God go with you every step! Sara

  3. How very exciting Ellen. Scotland is so gorgeous! I read where you were in Stirling yesterday. Lovely photos of a wonderful trip. Enjoy yourself and get some sleep!

  4. Hi Ellen, so happy to see these posts. What a lovely time you are having in Scotland! I went to Stirling years ago. They have a castle there don’t they? I was 21 so my memory may be a little fuzzy. Happy travels dear lady!

I read all comments and appreciate them.
