Fair Days

On Friday we attended the NE Washington State Fair here in our town.

Before we left the fair we enjoyed some ice cream cones.

On Saturday we met up on Main Street for the NE Washington Fair Parade.

The fire department starts the fair off and it is really loud. Our Grands have the best mom and she plans so well and remembered their ear muffs!

The participants in the parade are always stocked up with lots of candy to throw to the children along the parade route.

The short parade was over in no time and our Grands had a bag full of candy. We walked over to the Saturday Farmer’s market and bought veggies and fruit before heading home for the rest of the day!

  1. Both the fair and parade look fun. I like see the animals at the fair. The family photos are cute, everyone is enjoying their ice cream. Take care, have a great day and happy week!

  2. What fun! I love old fashions home town parades and fairs. I haven’t been to the state fair in a number of years. I won’t make it this year either but Lord willing, I can add it to the calendar for next summer. Enjoy these end of the summer days.

  3. That looks like a fabulous day and loved all the smiling faces of your family. I attended one of these, complete with a parade, in North Dakota when visiting hubby’s side of the family. Lots of fun!

  4. Love these old fashioned fairs, Ellen. Darling photos of all the fun everyone is enjoying. We haven’t been to our State Fair in years. Quite a big one. Small towns in VA still have these wonderful parades. Yours looks very festive!

I read all comments and appreciate them.
