Thursday October 13th
On Thursdays my posts will include verses that stood out in my readings from the Bible during the week. One, two, three or maybe more. If you have a verse/verses that you read during the week and would like to share, leave it/them in the comments and I will add it/them to the post. Let’s dig deep in God’s Truth this year!
1 John 5:20
And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
Psalm 111:7-8
The works of His hands are truth and justice; All His precepts are faithful. They are upheld forever and ever; They are done in truth and uprightness.
John 17:17
“Sanctify them by the truth; Your word is truth.
From Vera:
Jeremiah 9:23-24 ESV
“Thus says the Lord: “Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the Lord.”
From Karen:
Ephesians 1:13
In whom ye also trusted,
after that ye heard the word of truth,
the gospel of your salvation:
in whom also after that ye believed,
ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
Take care, enjoy your day!
…enjoy your fall day.
That second dish cloth – He will cover you with His feathers and under His wings you will find refuge – is exactly what I needed today. Thank you Ellen! Have a blessed day!

Phenomenal tour! You are always a great guide. I wonder why the “Soapy” Sam nickname — I wonder if that does that have anything to do with how we say orators are “on their soapbox”?
