We woke up to lightning flashes and thunder and the sound of rain in the wee hours of the morning.
A very welcomed event with hopes that the lightning doesn’t spark more fires in our area.
Love seeing the raindrops! No manual watering today!
The blue skies showing through the clouds have me smiling. Smoke is so oppressive.
Thank you for all who have visited here and commented. I’m off my game with visits but hope to see what’s going on with you all soon.
…rain can be so welcomed, I’m glad that you received some.
Love that last photo especially.
I agree, rain is glorious. We could use some. It seems like so many fires over the last few years were because of lighting. Take care.
That is a real rainfall! We are waiting for it over here.
Glad to hear you finally got some rain. It must be so refreshing.
We don’t go long here without rain!!
Glad to know you are getting some rain, Ellen, and I hope it helps a lot. As you know, we could really use some down here but who knows when that will happen! In the meantime, enjoy your smoke free blue skies.
Yay! Was it enough to help with the smoke?
Yes, Vee, it did help a lot but we still have smoke. We can see almost 2 layers of our mountains instead of none. It was a delight to step out this morning into the freshly watered world of ours!
We got rain tonight too. Not much but enough to make it smell lovely and wash away some of the smoke smell and cool things off! I totally relate to being off the blogging commenting game.
So glad you finally got some rain. I sometimes think of you when I see all the wildfires on the east side. We’re expected to get some rain this weekend. Maybe it will head over your way when it’s done here!
We could all use a good drenching.. It is most welcome..
I’m sure that sound was music to your ears! So happy that you experienced some relief from the dry and the smoke! Are you ready for autumn?
Cheryl, since Autumn is a favorite, I really am ready for it! I know you love Autumn, too.
I’m so glad the rain finally got to you. It’s such a relief after a long period of hot weather. Hope it stays with you for a while 🙂 B x
