Before and After…

So now all of our appliances in our kitchen are matchy matchy. Our real estate agent was happy.

We had our first container dropped off to fill and wouldn’t you know we are now going to have a weather event on Saturday so we will have to delay filling it. Lots of rain and wind is in the forecast for Saturday. The containers are water tight but if the doors are open while there is a lot of moisture, that moisture will get trapped inside. Oye. We’ve been selling items we can’t use anymore on Offer Up and have had some good results. I’m happy to put a little cash in my pocket instead of just dropping everything off at Goodwill. We’ve been working from morning to night packing and I am having little free time to blog or visit blogs.

Tomorrow while the guys work hard my daughter, DIL and sister are heading north for tea at a Camomile Farm. Looking forward to getting away from boxes for a few hours.

How is Spring shaping up in your corner of the world?

  1. I am with you on ‘getting away from the boxes for a few hours’. It is still winter here; we will most likely be skiing Saturday and Sunday, the last two days of the ski season. And then we want it to immediately be Spring ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Those ovens are gorgeous and they make such a huge difference in the kitchen. I forgot about the wind event we’re supposed to have tomorrow. We’re surrounded by huge trees so I will be praying hard that none of them are uprooted! Enjoy your time at tea!

  3. A few hours away from the boxes sounds like a great idea! Time to recharge your battery! You’re doing so well though. The matcy matchy appliances look good and cha-ching is good too. ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Good job! Now that you’ve sorted out the ‘get rid of’ things, your new house will be so sweet and tidy! (And, there’s nothing so good as leaving the guys to do the hard work while you and the daughters slip off to have tea!)

  5. Nice job on the kitchen!! Still waiting for a few finishing touches to our kitchen over here and then I should do a before and after post sometime. Oh Ellen, I just can’t imagine getting things ready to move … it makes me tired and traumatized just thinking of it. You are an inspiration and I know that we too will have to do this someday in the near future. Enjoy the tea time with your gals – such a great idea for a wee get-away.

  6. Adagio54? Okay, it has a certain ring to it. ๐Ÿ˜ Vee, here. No, really, I promise. Realtors…had my fill ofโ€™em I tell ya! The kitchen looks great, but it looked great before, too. Happy shifting!

  7. Your kitchen is beautiful…it’s cold and windy here…with 80 degrees predicted for tomorrow…good grief….crazy weather all over.

  8. Nice having all the appliances match. We’ve just ordered the kitchen appliances for the new house – white.
No spring here yet, it snowed some more this morning!!!

  9. Oh boy does this all bring back memories of when we sold out to travel — having to get the house (which always seemed more than adequate) ready to list, finish up all the last minute things ….then packing …. all so exhausting…. but you have a wonderful reason and goal to amke it all worth while in the end (even better than our frivolous reason which I tried to keep in mind at the time).

We had an ‘estate sale’ after we gave heirloom stuff to the kids (and saved what we wanted for the RV._ By that time I was well and truly ready to get out of there, but I tell you after the estate sale lady re-staged our house with what we wanted to get rid of it looked so cute I almost wanted to move back in.
