G is for Guard Dog…

p1070151On a recent walk Dear saw this Guard Dog on the porch of a house and alerted me so I could take a photo. Now this is a great guard dog that never needs feeding or walking. I think the chain is a good touch!

We are busy at this old house getting all our records together for our yearly gutting by the IRS. I might be slow in getting around because my left hand and wrist are giving me gnawing pain. I’ve lost my grip. I hope I don’t have to go under the knife to get things repaired. I’m visiting my General Practitioner today to get some good advice on how I should go forward.

I’m linking up to ABC Wednesday started by Mrs. Nesbitt and carried on by a GREAT team of bloggers!

  1. Wow, what a great guard dog! And I do hope your hand will be okay. I, too, have been suffering with my left hand – the base of the thumb at the joint feels like it becomes dislocated every once in a while and the pain!!! Probably just more arthritis, but next time I see my GP I will mention it to him. Have a good week – I’m still waiting for all my papers to come in and then I have to do my income tax forms, too! Time of year for all, I guess.

  2. are you using your type Mike typing microphone you can see how well it works Sordo let’s see I certainly don’t help you don’t have to go under the knife to that would not be what you need when you want to be holding a baby

I was going to say that you can always use the microphone feature…yeah, right. Did you think I was drunk? LOL

  3. I do hope that your General Practitioner was able to give you some good advice today, Ellen, so that you don’t need to have surgery.

    Liked the guard dog!

  4. Sure hope it’s nothing serious and your hand will be back to normal soon.
Glad that dog isn’t real cause it sure looks mean!!!

  5. Dear Ellen,
hand pain can be most debilitating and i really can sympathise
with you diclofenic jel can be a great help in the short term also
a hot wax treat ment can be soothing, short term i’m afraid, I hope
your doctor can help you, there are many really good anti inflams
that are most effective…you need your hands to make all the lovely
    cakes that you do..
That guard dog is amazing although it does look as if it’s teeth are false ones,
love the chain, most impressive..I wonder if the resident/s of the house made it,
I’d have to knock and ask,I’m so nosey !
    Best wisshes,
