Here we are in the last days of September and my lavender bush is still blooming.
“here’s your sweet lavender
sixteen sprigs a penny
that you’ll find my ladies
will smell as sweet as any”

If I were an expert photographer I could have shown you photos from the lunar eclipse last night. It was fun to walk around the neighborhood trying to find the best view and then when the moon got high enough we could watch it from our deck. Did you watch?
The weekend was a nice quiet one with mild weather. We are in another dry pattern right now with cold mornings and evenings.
Linking up to ABC Wednesday for the letter L with thanks to Mrs. Nesbitt the originator of the meme and to Roger and the team for their administration.
Lovely Lavender! I don’t know how to use my settings for pics of the moon…grr..It’s about time..
I’m catching up on your last three days of posts.–yes, sometimes life is a bit random but that’s ok. I think your old school paper and pen method of meditating on Bible verses while you walk is fine–I may try it too if I’m walking alone.
Love the lavender! It looks so happy and healthy–mine is dry and shriveled from drought and heat 😦
I adore lavender – one of mine is still blooming as well! We tried to watch the eclipse last night but had a heavy cloud cover. Were only able to see the beginning and then the very end. Have a fabulous week Ellen!
On my bucket list is a visit to a lavender farm. And here you have your very own! This in between month is so interesting. … neither summer nor fall!
Oh, I think I can smell the sweet aroma of lavender just looking at your photos!! Mmmm…
Beautiful photos, Ellen!
We did watch the eclipse, after finagling a way to get Ron (still not able to put weight on his foot) out to the backyard to view! It was a team effort, but we got it done. Kati took a couple of nice photographs. It really was something to see!!
Beautiful shots of your late lavender, Ellen. It’s blooming here, too. We caught a few glimpses of the eclipse last night, but we were watching grands and didn’t have a lot of time. No photos, either. Have a great week.
I love lavender! It is about the only flower the deer will not touch here. I did watch the eclipse last night. My camera struggled with the low light but I did manage to get a few photos of it!
Wonderful sprigs of lavender! Do you harvest it for sachets? Yes, I watched the eclipse on Sunday evening.
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful, i love it…. and the sent of it !
Have a nice abc-week / day

Lovely…your late lavender! Mine is all looking quite spent over here. You have me singing a lavender ditty from ‘way back when’ now!
I LOVE LAVENDER it is amongst one of my favourite fragrances, We have a large
LAVENDER bush in our garden and it gives off such a delightful aroma.
Nice post.
Best wishes,

Lovely lavender flowers. Great captures.
I couldn’t get good moon shots as it was very cloudy here.
Happy ABCW!
Lavender is one of my most favorite plants! How neat to still have new blooms on yours:)
Blessings,
Aimee
I LOVE that color!

I love the blooming Lavender, so pretty. I forgot about the Luna event until it was over. But I’ve seen a lot of pictures of it on the internet.
I love lavender for it’s fragrance. But last week I read on a spice bottle that had lavender as one of the ingredients of ” herbs de Provence” for a tortellini recipe!
The sky was too cloudy to see any moon till long after the eclipse…
My alarmclock woke me up at 04:45 . I only saw a very small moon, red ans wrinkled like a currant or raison.
Thanks for your post and comment. Have a great week.
Wil, ABCW Team.
Lavender soothes the soul. I have a few bushes and I love them.
My ABC WEDNESDAY
Lovely lavender pics! I just love this colour.
There was just a glimpse of eclipse that too in another part of the country!
BEautifullllllllll .. I love Lavender.. got about 4 plants in my garden 🙂
Lovely lavender, – such an essential in any garden.
dried lavender in yr pillow slip will help you to sleep?
Lavender is such a beautiful flower. We have some in the planters at our condo complex in town.
Lavender is so pretty. I’m figuring out whether lavender is one of the things my skin can’t stand. I hope not. I like the scent of it. We had cloud cover so I gave up looking out. I learned that at the last hour, the clouds cleared. Such is life. 🙂

Your lavender is so pretty! We used to have some and somehow it went missing =) when we reorganized our garden.
Lavender might be my all-time favourite scent. Loved your photos! Yes, I took photos of the moon. A gentleman helped me with the settings on my camera. The results weren’t bad, considering the heavy mist in the sky.
