We Survived!

Dear has been off of work for one week and we have survived nicely.

On Wednesday of last week we went downtown for Dear to drop off some donuts to his former workmates and I took care of some business. We decided since we were downtown and paying for parking we’d enjoy a meal at one of the Seattle iconic steak houses, Metropolitan Grill. Our lunch was delicious!

We have been working hard outdoors with some real nice weather. Dear re-stained the shingles on the patio side of our house and when he was done we were able to finally put the patio covers up!

We hauled out all the patio furniture. We are going to enjoy the shade those covers offer for the hot weekend we are promised. Soon I’ll share some of the details I’ve been adding to our patio deck!

How are things shaping up at your place?

  1. awww, both of you are as cute as can be…so happy looking…you have a beautiful home and I know that cover will really be enjoyed during hot days.

  2. I’m sure you and your Dear will be busier now that you have more time in your hands. Love Seattle downtown. Still remember Ranier Square.

  3. Hi Ellen, How neat to have a week off with your dear Hubby! I had one with my husband week before last too, at the beach. What a neat-looking steak restaurant — I love that decor!! Your house is looking great (I love the shingles) and I’m looking forward to seeing what else you’ve done to your deck. I always enjoy the sharing of ideas and inspiration. 🙂

Have a lovely weekend, my friend!

    Hugs,

    Denise

  4. I am glad that you are surviving…and quite happily, it appears! Your hubby’s big smile lights up your post! And then you’re getting things checked off the house projects list. If only it were not for that little bit about “income,” time off could be wonderful! 🙂

  5. Glad to see you both smiling! Your house is looking fantastic. It’s going to be great having the awning up. It was such a beautiful day today that I was out in the yard all day. Felt good.

  6. I am getting around to reading all the e-mails we received while we were away in E. Washington and I see we’re doing the same things. Traveling over the mountain passes and back to be with family, painting our homes, enjoying time with our spouses. You’re a bit ahead of us in the painting part !
