Good Golly…

We are already on the letter G for ABC Wednesday! Thank you to Denise Nesbitt and the ABC team!

I’m going with Green and Gargoyle for the letter G. Green moss is something that we have quite an abundance of here in the great Northwest.

Our apple tree is covered in moss.

On our trips to Great Britain we enjoy looking up to see the Gargoyles that are here and there.

Biltmore 005

We have gargoyles here in the U.S.A., too. My daughter and I toured the Biltmore House and Gardens and these creatures looked down on us.

One last addition to the letter G is my Bible verse card for the week. Timely indeed because of the letter G and because of present circumstances!

Hope you are enjoying the last week of February. So many of you are enduring some harsh winter conditions and I hope things settle down to a more mild clime. We have some rain in the forecast again here in the Northwest after enjoying several dry sunny days.

  1. Oh those gargoyles are a little creepy. If I were walking with my grandson, I’d be praying that he didn’t look up. Freak out time! LOL!

    Love the look of moss…

  2. I rather like moss, such a vibrant colour. Not much fussed on gargoyles though, even though
they are popular on church and other distinguished buildings in the UK.
God does show us grace in oh so many ways! team.

    Best wishes,
    Di. xx

  3. I love the graphic for that Scripture. It would be great to frame and hang in a conspicuous place…kind of a visual reminder to give thanks in everything. (My “natural” man needs such reminders at times.)

The moss is lovely…a vibrant mixture of color and texture!

  4. I like the color moss green, but some how everyone has a different interpretation of the color. Your tree moss would come up as sage green in my Prismacolor pencils, and the color I have for moss green in my head is more vibrant — but that may be because our moss in East Yorkshire is darker and brighter. My husband is from Liverpool, (been looking back at your previous blogs) and I lived in E.Yorks for my early years. Now we have been in CA for 42 years. By the way, I chose GRACE as my word for the year so couldn’t post it again. Praise the Lord for His GRACE.

  5. You have me singing an old chorus…In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God, in Christ Jesus, concerning you. What a great verse to go with the letter G!

  6. Goodness! Those are a great gaggle of “G” words! *grin

    I’ve never like gargoyles … guess I’m just a fraidy cat …

Love your ending scripture. It would be good if we all do that.
