T is for Trees!

It’s time for ABC Wednesday hosted by some brilliant bloggers here and across the sea.

While I was in North Carolina helping our daughter get ready for her husband’s homecoming we took a day away from the frenzy to enjoy Airlie Garden in Wilmington. Look at these majestic trees filled with Spanish Moss in the garden.

Since we are on the letter T here are the turtles we saw this day, too.

  1. Reminds me of Twelve Oaks…I have not been further south than Maryland, but this looks just as described in Gone With the Wind. Still looks warm. It is always good to be home after a time away.

  2. Love the oak trees – these ones with all the Spanish moss remind me of Louisiana – I haven’t yet been to North Carolina. The turtles are adorable – they always seem to look rather concerned – so sweet!

  3. That is quite the sight…all that Spanish moss hanging out of those large oak trees!
(Are you glad to have left that humidity behind? I’ll bet yes.)

  4. Very beautiful! I have never seen this before. Excellent post with this ancient tree and turtles!
The photos of your previous post are stunning! Have a great week.

  5. Your daughter is so pretty. So glad your s-I-l is home! You did a great job of capturing those turtles on the log and the moss in the trees. Wonderful shots. laurie
