Debbee and Lenny

The day turned out so lovely with the sun shining brightly.

Perfect for the bride who grew up in Huntington Beach and loves the beach and her flip flops!

These are 3 of my nieces. Debbee is the bride and Michelle and Melissa (sisters) were 2 of the 5 bridesmaids.

My niece Hope and grandniece Avery were the flower girls.

Brother and Sister, my nephew David with Debbee.

My sister Vera’s family.

My mom and dad with the bride and groom.

My nieces, nephews, grandniece and grandnephew.

The grandparents with their grandchildren and great grandchildren. 12 grands are missing in this photo.

The wedding party.

Mother of the groom, mother of the bride, and the groom’s sister helping Debbee to the bride’s room to wait for the ceremony.

Father of the bride getting ready for the walk down the aisle.

The rest of the photos I’m posting here are random shots of my family that I took before the ceremony began.

Here Comes the Bride!

The bride and groom are big sports fans. The ceremony was relaxed with lots of funny references to baseball and Debbee’s favorite team, the Angels and Lenny’s favorite team, the Boston Red Sox. At least both their teams wear red.

Next post will be all about the reception at Newland Barn in Huntington Beach.

My lower back is trying to freeze up on me so I did not mow the lawn yesterday. I did get some laundry done and have started on the “list” for my trip to British Columbia. The big news here in the Northwest is the glorious weather we have been promised for the next few days and into the weekend! I’m smiling…

  1. What a beautiful bride – her smile is mega-watt! There’s nothing like a family wedding for fun., I loved the photo of your parents with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Imagine if the missing 12 had been there!

  2. Your Mom and Dad were lookin’ SHARP!!!! I love them! They just get out there and party hard with everyone…they’re cool!!!!!

The bride’s gown is breathtakingly gorgeous!!! She wears it well! The little girls’ dresses were a perfect complement to the bridal gown, and I just LOVE that little boy’s attire! What a cutie pie he is!!!!! It’s good to see the guys all in long ties and suits, too. A daytime wedding in California just calls for that! Love it! (That’s the retired wedding planner in me rearing its nosy head!)

I’m so glad the wedding went well, and I look forward to seeing photos of the reception!

  3. Beautiful pictures Ellen of a gorgeous wedding!!! Your parents look amazing. The children are so sweet!
I’ll be thinking of you all in BC over the next few days at Winks …..have fun!

  4. Beautiful bride…love the dress. The tiers in the back are gorgeous! Your nephew sure looks like his mom…bet he hears that a lot! We have the lab calls at our office, too. Older patients aren’t crazy about it, so we are still getting lots of calls. Guess we will see if we stick with it. Glad you are having pretty weather. It’s been cloudy here, but I am grateful for the pleasant temps. Sometimes we don’t get a spring…it goes from winter to summer! We are having low 70’s, but last year at the same time we were at mid 90’s!! I’ll take this year even with the clouds!

  5. Now that bride has the most beautiful, joyous smile! So attractive. What a beautiful family. I know that your parents are so very proud of you all. Congrats to the happy couple. May they be blessed.

  6. How nice for you to have your family all together for the special occasion. And how special that your parents were both able to attend this joyous event. They must be thrilled to see their family growing and staying close knit, both. I know it’s not the main point of your pictures, but I was admiring the colors of the building as a backdrop and wondered what it was. Then I saw in your tags it was 1st Christian of Huntington Beach. The colors are so vibrant and great.

  7. What a beautiful wedding! The bride looked so happy.

I hope your back feels better soon, Ellen. We had ORE SNOW yesterday–I think Spring is skipping this area. After seeing the fires in Southern California I won’t complain as this late snow is bringing lots of needed moisture here.

I read all comments and appreciate them.
