Party Crashers!

It seems as though every time the 10 Mennonite Girls Can Cook get together these two party crashers show up!

They always have a lot to say.

They made hints that we slighted them and ignored them while they were traveling through Chilliwack on the train. They claim they saw us and waved and we ignored them.

They travel with the latest “Herald” magazine in hand and always have a loaf of bread with them.

It is quite uncanny that they can find our gatherings no matter how remote…

We always enjoy their brief appearances!

I’m beginning to wonder if they are long lost relatives of our own Kathy and Marg…

  1. An ongoing saga here, which I have never quite figured out. If Marg and Kathy were to wear kerchiefs, they might look a little like those gals.

  2. They are persistent, aren’t they? You might have to let them contribute a recipe or two, and give them some credit.

  3. Hmmm – there certainly is a familiar look about them!!! I just can’t believe that you ladies would ignore them but they do seem rather annoying!

  4. Don’t let them fool you! They are the best of connivers and always seem to have a secret up their sleeve. Invited or not…we quite enjoy having them show up at our get-togethers.

  5. Those always bring a smile to my face – I think you should videotape them and let us all hear what they have to say! I’m sure it would be a hoot!

  6. You just can’t have a gathering of Mennonite girls without at least a few of these “Oule Mumschas” showing up.
They add spirit and fun to every event.

  7. Hmmm, way back in the day there was a comic strip called “Snuffy Smith.” Snuffy’s wife Loweezy used to gossip over the back fence with her neighbor Elveeney. Your two party crashers remind me of them!

  8. One of my favorite moments was when they showed up at the airport and people were looking at us staragnely because we were laughing and taking photos. How rude!

  9. this post brought a smile to my face…you really know hoe to shoot that camera. You did not miss a shot. You are too funny. Lots of fun being a part of this group.
