Equal Time…

…for the Groom.Ā  All photographs were taken by Jeremy Leffel our wedding photographer.

Waiting to see Katie for the first time in her wedding gown…

The first look…I think he was pleased.

Now we are getting ready to see the next groom in our family, Levi.

What an emotional day Thursday was around here. We got an early morning call that my dad had called 9-1-1 and that my mom was rushed to the hospital. They are keeping her for observation and are trying to determine if she had a heart attack. Most of my family is and will be in Southern California soon for our nephew’s wedding on Saturday. My mom is real sad that she’ll have to miss her grandson’s wedding. She is in a lot of pain and doesn’t walk well these days because of the pain. We’ll hear today more on what’s going on. I’m at Seatac airport as I’m typing this getting ready to board my flight for Ontario Airport in Southern California. Hope things are quiet where you are…

  1. I am enjoying all of Katie’s beautiful pictures….and our family will be praying for your Mom. Enjoy the weekend, I know it will be filled with love.

  2. Just said a prayer for your mother and for you, Ellen.
Such sweet pictures from the moments before the wedding.

  3. Your son-in-law looks handsome in his uniform!

I’m sorry to hear about your mom. I’m praying that all will turn out well and that you all be comforted at this time.

  4. So sorry that your mom is in the hospital, Will pray for her quick recovery. The things that the medical staff can do these days! And God is always able to restore. Although she is upset by not being able to attend the wedding, how providential that you’ll all be there and able to visit with her. Much comfort and peace to you all. It’s never easy to look for God in the interruptions, but that’s exactly where we find Him time and time again.

Handsome groom! Love the photo of “the twirl.” It may be my favorite of all so far.

  5. Love the pictures. The first reveal is always wonderful. Praying for your mom! Praying for all of you! Safe travels, peace and joy! What a mix of emotions for your weekend. Praying you sense God’s closeness all the time!

  6. Now I am wondering why we didn’t get pictures take of our son getting dressed for his wedding…the bride’s SHOES got full documentation, not even on her feet, yet nada of Jeff tying his tie etc. Sheesh!

Praying your mom’s situation will resolve swiftly, and the pain addressed immediately!
And that someone will manage to make her able to attend the wedding electronically…Facetime? Skype?

  7. Great photos. Thinking of you and your family this weekend…as you gather for another wedding. Praying all is well with your mom!

  8. I love these photos Ellen. Such beauty between them. I just love a man in uniform.
Praying still for your parents..especially your mom.

  9. Wow…I’m finally cstching up here after my long hiatus. Your family has certainly been busy, as usual. Glad to hear things all worked out with your mom and the wedding, and all…..
