This is such a meaningful week that we are beginning. The Easter season is my favorite. Our pastor prepared a devotional guide for Passion week that I’m looking forward to spending time with this week. Today we celebrated Palm Sunday.

Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion!
Shout in triumph, O daughter of Jerusalem!
Behold, your king is coming to you;
He is just and endowed with salvation,
Humble, and mounted on a donkey,
Even on a colt, the foal of a donkey.
~ Zechariah 9:9

I think it’s fitting that this very humble plant is called the Lenten Rose.

May your week be filled with reflection on how much God loves you and may you be filled with his peace.
I’m linking up with Mary at Little Red House for Mosaic Monday.
What beautiful flowers and a lovely post! Enjoy your week! ♥
Wow, what a gorgeous flower. Lovely post, I wish you and your family a Happy Easter!
A wonderful post for a wonderful time of year.
What a gorgeous Hellebore. I love the colour. V
Your lenten rose is just gorgeous!
Wow, your Hellebore looks so healthy. Mine always face down. Enjoy the week:)
I know nothing of Lenten Roses. Thank you for introducing me to this wonderful flower. And thank you for the sweet wishes for a blessed holy week.
Hi, love your beautiful Lenten Rose. I have three plants which are just starting to bloom. Still a bit small. Can’t wait until they are larger!
Hugs,
Jann
My lenten roses are a bit late this year – but I still have high hopes for an Easter Sunday that will open in a blaze of sunshine at the end of our Lenten journey.
Your lenten roses are beautiful – I’ve never seen them before. Wonder if they would grow in my zone? Thank you for your reminder to reflect on the sacrifice of our Lord during this holy week.
Beautiful roses!
Wishing you a blessed Passion Week.
Lovely Lenten Rose.
Thanks, Ellen!
Beautiful. Have a meaningful Passion Week!
I was looking for a lentin rose yesterday, but did not find it yet.
I planted one a few years ago and it did not make it through the winter.
Wishing you a blessed week through the grief and the joy to come.
It is a wonder-filled week…pondering the events Christ faced…the Passover celebration He partook…so much to meld into the triuphant celebration.
Back again … the eggs are really egg-shaped pieces of chalk. 🙂
I was not familiar with the Lenten Rose. It’s beautiful and so nicely timed. May you feel the blessings of this week as you create Easter for your family.
I am preparing my Searny Paska spread….I can already taste it.
Hello Ellen, sending warm greetings and blessings to you and yours for Passion Week. This pink and green post is lovely. Though pink is not my most favorite of colors, I can never resist pink and green together!
How pretty. My Lenten Roses are so low to the ground and difficult to photograph. Happy Easter~
