It’s time for Teacher Jenny’s Alphabe-Thursday. I’ve been delinquent the last couple of weeks and was really trying hard to come up with something for the letter L and there it was staring me in the face. L-O-V-E….Love. Love is in the kitchen and I can see it from different angles…

Matthew 22:37-39
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’

Ephesians 2:4-7 ~But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.

1 Peter 4:8 ~ Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.

1 John 4:8 ~ Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
Jude 1:2 ~ Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance.
Valentine’s Day in Elementary School is a fun memory for me. I so looked forward to exchanging Valentine’s Day cards at school and getting special treats on this day. These days I don’t put pressure on Dear to make Valentine’s day special. I want to find joy in our everyday…
Love was staring right at you! Literally. So cool. What pretty Valentines decorations, too.
Love the scriptures you added with your hearts!
I “heart” you LOVE post!
Ellen, are you getting ready for a special party there?
Celebrating love… and the example we have in the love of God ….
thank you …
Apparently a lot of us thought about love ! Fortunately my post about Love is completely different 😉 !
Can I move my party to your house? It looks like you are all ready!
I too have such fun memories of V-day in elementary school. All the cards…and the yummy treats…and the games we played back then. It’s a good thing…having a special day to celebrate love!
lovely l post for the month of love!
now that’s what I call perfect love!!
Oh, those sweet vintage Valentine’s were so sweet! I love your decoration too..
Love is always the best gift of all! We are so grateful for His love.
Love never fails!
I have such wonderful memories of Valentine’s Day in grade school. It was such an exciting celebration, with our paper Valentine mailboxes hanging from the window sills, waiting to be filled. The best part was wondering who would give you a “special” valentine, different from the others.
=)
We don’t make a big deal of Valentine’s Day now that we have no children around. I’ll make a heart-shaped cake though – it’s a tradition!
Lots and lots of love !
Beautiful decorations to go with such beautiful words…
I Love the sparkly hearts…
Great post for the Letter “L”!
Thanks for Linking.
