A is for Appetizers…

I really enjoy appetizers. It’s nice to have a variety of taste bites when dining. When we go out to dinner we sometimes eat appetizers instead of a big plate of food. If we are out during Happy Hour it’s tempting to eat too many appetizers when they are half priced. We like to find restaurants with Happy Hour foods that are not all fried food. We have found many good spots with great options. Do you eat appetizers instead of main dishes when you go out?

Teacher Jenny is starting up Alphabe-Thursday this week again and we are at the beginning with the letter A. This would be a good time for you to join in if you want. Thank you Teacher Jenny!

  1. We LOVE to go to La Bodega…a Spanish Bistro. Saturday afternoon from 2-6 they have half price tapas and the pitcher of sangria is also half price. Pair that with eating out on their patio by the fire pit and GLORY what a fun afternoon. We sit and talk while we munch then order a few more, talk some more and probably one more order….it’s one of our favorite things to do with our girls. 2 hours spent with great food and great company.

  2. Appies are such a treat and yes, it’s nice to find unusual ones. We often choose a few small plates to share. Tapas are another option and offer even more “non fried” variety.

  3. Yes, I do that too – especially if I’m out with girlfriends. The fellows often want a meal afterwards, but I can make a meal from a selection of appetisers.

  4. Yumm! Appetizers are always fun…fun to get a little variety of tastes :o) Some appetizers are more than enough to fill me up!

    Blessings & Aloha!
I’ve been very busy this time of year with art orders (for which I am thankful, blessed and love to do), but Yay!, it is also fun to be back in Ms. Jenny’s Alphabe-Thursday class again!

  5. We do this, too. Go to happy hour…get a cheap margarita and order off the appetizer menu. It’s always more then enough food and really saves!

We’ve started sharing entrees, too, but sometimes that gets more complicated since my husband likes seafood and I’m vaguely a vegetarian!

    Thanks for linking!

I’m glad to share happy hour with you here.
