…but before January was over we had one last January birthday celebration!
Little Miss D. turned 1 and we had a fun time watching her eat a cupcake for the first time. She also is quite the dancer and gave us some great moves that made us smile! I left my good camera at home so my photos were not great. We are friends with little Miss’ grandparents and our son Dan is best friends with her dad.
Sunrises were beautiful this week with our clear cold weather.
My daughter and I had fun checking out another wedding venue on Lake Union.
After checking out the venue we found a local eatery and had a very tasty lunch with a nice view.
Last but not least it was good to hear about answered prayers for health issues from friends this past week.
I was able to check off a few items on my 60 in 60 list. I made 3 new recipes last weekend and ate at a new restaurant (see above) and explored a new neighborhood in the Seattle area. YeeHaw!
So are you having a Superbowl party this weekend?
Photobucket replaced all my photos with ugly black and grey boxes and they are holding my photos hostage until I pay them lots of money. I’m slowly going through all my posts and trying to clean them up and replacing some photos. Such a bother.
No Super Bowl party here, but The Great Dane, daughter and I said Gung Hay Fat Choy and ate (sort of) Chinese food this evening, and celebrated just being together!
Good for you for crossing off some of more of your 60 items!
Not a party, but another couple (life long friends) are coming over for dinner and to watch the game. Well, the guys will watch the game..we girls will probably be talking!!
Okay…for a wedge of iceberg that they keep telling us is worthless to eat…that is a very yummy looking salad. No partying here…
That lunch looks seriously delicious. I’ll bet venue shopping is fun. That venue has a lovely view with the boats.
A great week! Those sunrises were spectacular!
Um…maybe we will crash someone else’s party. Little Miss looks charming as always. Borrowed babies are pretty fun, huh?
Oh Ellen. Your sunrise shots always make me sigh. They are so vivid and full of variety in colors and shadings. God makes such beautiful things. Your lunch with K looks delicious — how nice to have a pretty view while lunching with your daughter.
What a fun filled week you had, Ellen!
Not really football fans we are, so, probably won’t do a Super Bowl big to do. It is, however, Chinese New Year weekend, so I might do something Chinese-y!
My favorite thing about superbowl weekend is all the good appetizer recipes posted everywhere. Who’s playing? Smile.
I’m not a football fan, but will have fun making appetizers and food for my son and hubby who will enjoy the game. I like the half-time ads and show:)
Your sunrise photos are gorgeous. The lunch photo was gorgeous too and now I am thinking I need to find some food!
So glad you are making good headway on your list of 60!
What a wonderful week you had…from little ones birthdays to lunches out…and answers to prayer. You are blessed.
Ha Ha!! the best thing about the super bowl party is the super bowl food and we already ate that at appy night at lepp farm market.
It looks like you had a very good week Ellen! So glad your prayers were answered and enjoyed some special times with your dear daughter.
Oh, Little Miss D is so, so cute. Those pictures are gorgeous. Glad you were able to check off a few more items on your 60 list. I think that is so cool! I’m not going to a Superbowl party this year. Flying out to spend time with my husband who is away on business. That will be super enough for me!
No Superbowl parties for us…it’ll be quiet here, but that’s okay.
Those sunrise pictures are breathtaking! In fact, all of your pictures are SO lovely. Sounds like you had a wonderful week.
Beautiful! And the sandwich with the grilled onions looks delicious!
I do expect you at the St. Pat’s party friend! 🙂
