It’s time to reflect on your past week and see the many good things that you were blessed with. Visit Susanne at Living to tell the Story to join in this worthwhile exercise.
My favorites from this past week…
1. A decorated Christmas tree filling the living room with a nice fragrance. Oops somethings crooked!
2. Nativities to remind us why we celebrate Christmas.
3. Hot Water! Our old water heater was giving up the ghost and we didn’t want to be surprised some morning with a cold shower so Dear with his handiness put in a new one this week. We had to live without hot water for 24 hours but we knew about it in advance and boy are we all ever thankful to have the hot water flowing again.
4. Thankful once again for a husband who can take on most any project around the house and do a good job at it!
5. These great words I read this morning;
2 Timothy 4:18 (ESV)~
The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
and 2 Thessalonians 2: 16-17 (ESV) ~
Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word.
This weekend Dear and I are escaping to Whidbey Island for an overnight at a Bed and Breakfast Inn to celebrate our anniversary. I hope to tell you all about it next week. We have a heavy rain and flooding forecast which might make things interesting on our trip. Enjoy your day and weekend!
Photobucket replaced all my photos with ugly black and grey boxes and they are holding my photos hostage until I pay them lots of money. Iβm slowly going through all my posts and trying to clean them up and replacing some photos. Such a bother.
Beautiful my friend and I’m glad you got another heater. I would have to call someone to replace ours. LOL My mechanical abilities are like minus 982 LOL Great week and have a great weekend π
I love the size of that tree. If I could have a real tree inside I would love a smaller one like that. And YAY for 10 magic fingers. Handy husbands are amazing. Great scriptures. I’m praying that the weather cooperates so that your weekend is grand!
Hot water…we take it so for granted. A beautiful tree and all the decorations, and isn’t it fun when we have handymen? My man fixes everything around this place. Enjoy your little getaway! It will be well deserved.
I love your title, and now I understand. π Your decorations are all lovely, as are the verses you shared. Hope you have a fantastic weekend with your hubby!
Sometimes hot water is a good place to be! Glad you have it back!
Have a wonderful anniversary getaway, Ellen.
Amen and happiness to all five! Have a great time away…..
A handy handyman husband is a blessing. I feel so for girls who didn’t marry a man with such skills.
Sounds like a rainy get away. Perhaps you’ll get in extra snuggle time? We are having rain mixed with snow…hmmm…smuggling in the hot tub sounds good. Bye…
It is wonderful to have a husband who can fix things. Your tree is beautiful! Hope you enjoy your weekend away π
I’m in hot water now, lol
We don’t always replace things before they get too old, smart thinking.
Your tree is lovely. Have a great week
Hot water–definitely a favorite! Your tree is gorgeous!
Happy, happy anniversary! I wish you good travelling for your special weekend.
Your tree is lovely! Love how the red stands against the green.
My hubby gets frustrated that sometimes it seems like all he does is fix things around the house. But I’m pretty thankful he has those skills and is willing to do it.
Hurray for a handy husband who provides hot water!!
Have a happy weekend!
A belated happy anniversary to you both! Hope you have good weather and a great time!
I am very thankful to have a handy hubby, too. That was wise not to wait until the hot water heater died.
Your tree is splendid and so is your gorgeous water heater! Life is good when there are no water heater leaks!
Jody
Ellen, what a lovely nativity. Your tree looks so pretty, and hot water IS definitely a “MUST HAVE”! Wonderful things to give thanks for. laurie
