Yes I said desserts, plural, as in more then one! These Mennonite Girls know how to treat you.
Anneliese set a beautiful table with a place card that had a special verse chosen for each of us. This was our first dinner together and Anneliese served us some great chicken in a tasty vegetable sauce, rice and salads.
Every Day I will praise you…Psalm 145:2
Sweet Anneliese!
It was a dark and rainy day so my photos are dark. The dreary rain didn’t dampen our spirits or our time together.
Desserts were a bread pudding with a lovely orange anglaise and flan!
After our two desserts Julie gifted us each with these trivets/potholders with each of our names on it.
There will be more posts of our time together in the Fraser Valley of Canada because I want the time documented here on my blog.
Today is Labor Day here in the U.S.A. and Canada so I hope you are all having a restful day enjoying a day off from work.
Photobucket replaced all my photos with ugly black and grey boxes and they are holding my photos hostage until I pay them lots of money. Iām slowly going through all my posts and trying to clean them up and replacing some photos. Such a bother.
The girls and I sat on the back porch watching the dogs play while David LABORED…he kind of gets into pulling weeds.
Well documented Ellen. Every time I look at one of our photos of us together memories wash over me..none that will soon be forgotten. It was so good to be together.
Yes Anneliese’s meal was so delicious and two delightful desserts..bread pudding (Trish’s recipe). And the beautiful potholder from Julie.
I’m still processing this most wonderful reunion:)
Oh, the joys of hosting family and dearest of friends! Loved your previous posts too – that blue collage is stunning!
Boy what a feast š Looks so good. I’m not a big fan of desserts but I sure would have partaken in these š Thanks for sharing and happy Labor Day to you my friend š
OH so wonderful to see all the pictures. . I certainly still want to document mine as well.
This is so great to see…and familiar, as well! Harrison Hot Springs Hotel is a great destination with a fabulous dance floor! The lake must be really nice in the summer! Were the geese present?
You were treated to so many treats…table decor, and special gifts. Keep on sharing the experiences…it’s fun to read about!! Look at that potholder!
Looks like a great dinner, and what a fantastic memento! I’m sure you had a wonderful time-enjoy!
Wow! That’s a lovely tablesetting. And I love all the goodies you girls got at the table – including the yummy desserts.
WOW, look at that gift! It is beautiful!
Looks like a wonderful time in spite of the rain!
The table looks lovely, matching goodie bags and name tags! Perfect!
Have you linked their blogs up so I can go check, or is it just the one MGCC?
