…among the Redwoods.
We were expecting to see Legolas, Haldir, Elrond, Arwen, or Galadriel come out from behind a Redwood and join us in celebrating the wedding of Ben and Kristin. Maybe even an Ewok…
The wedding was held at the Bride’s grandparents cabin that they’ve owned for years. Both families spent a lot of weekends preparing the grounds for a wedding.
Ben, the groom, laid the stone for the walkway.
The cross was forged at a family foundry.
The trees were created by God!
The dance floor was built on site.
You can see the setting of the dance floor behind Dear and me!

Here comes the groom…I mean
Here comes the bride!
So lovely.
The groom fighting back the tears!
Married at last.
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Bogdanof!
Kathy B. reminded me that the bride thought to use these tree log rounds as trivets for the cake stands.
It was a creative effort by both families and the bride and groom to create this magical night for their wedding.
I’m glad you made it all the way through this long post. I’m headed to Canada for a few days and won’t be at the computer. I’ll catch up again late Friday or on the weekend. Blessings!
Photobucket replaced all my photos with ugly black and grey boxes and they are holding my photos hostage until I pay them lots of money. I’m slowly going through all my posts and trying to clean them up and replacing some photos. Such a bother.
Absolutely magical. Thank you for sharing. Have a fantastic and safe trip.
Oh, it’s so, so lovely, Ellen. I love that the families created the setting and made it so special.
Never in my life have I seen such a spectacular wedding! Gotta pop my eyes back in and close my jaw which dropped!! Totally amazing! What a blessing to be able to do that and that the weather cooperated! May they have a blessed marriage!
It was great to see you and Dear. It made it extra special to have close family there. It was truly a special day. I wanted to give Ben a hankie to wipe his tears of JOY but I held back which is unusual of me.
Enjoy the trip to Canada.
This truly tops anything I’ve ever seen or heard of… hope your trip to Canada is wonderful! Safe journey!

I can tell that some young couple with their families let the creative juices flow. It’s spectacular…How wonderful for you to have captured the event through your eyes and sharing it with all of us.
See you soon!
What a beautiful, beautiful wedding! It looks like something out of a story book! Thanks for sharing, Ellen!

What a beautiful setting in the great woods of Northern California! Each photo tells the story of a family who worked together to make the day so special! Thanks for sharing!
No bugs at all! We sprayed Yard Guard before, but I don’t think it would have been a problem.
What a beautiful site for a beautiful event. So…did you see any elves or ewoks?
What a beautiful setting for a wedding. Ellen your pictures were awesome. Thanks for sharing.
Hello Ellen B!
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more beautiful wedding in my entire life and what memories they’ve created for themselves…awe is all I can say ;-).
Have a lovely time in Canada. I wish I could go with you.
xoxo cori g.
What a beautiful setting for a wedding! I’m reminded of something Elizabeth Goudge has said in her novels, comparing being among tall forest trees to being inside a cathedral with its pillars holding up the soaring ceiling and vice versa. It’s true!
Thanks, Ellen, for taking these great pictures. Jeannie sent them to Tim (Kristin’s dad), who forwarded them to us. It was our pleasure to have you and all the guests enjoy our yard, which Tim & Steph, Kristin & Ben, the Bogdanof’s and a number of friends turned into the fairyland in which this most beautiful wedding took place. We never dreamed that our old place could be transformed into such beauty.
