Lessons in Rain and Dew…

Deuteronomy 32:1-4 (NLT)

“Listen, O heavens, and I will speak!
Hear, O earth, the words that I say!
Let my teaching fall on you like rain;
let my speech settle like dew.
Let my words fall like rain on tender grass,
like gentle showers on young plants.
I will proclaim the name of the Lord;
how glorious is our God!
He is the Rock; his deeds are perfect.
Everything he does is just and fair.
He is a faithful God who does no wrong;
how just and upright he is”

We are going back and forth this week from wet days to dry days. Yesterday was dry today is wet again. It’s nice that I don’t have to water any of my plants for now.  Hope your week is going well and you are being encouraged.

  1. HELLO ELLEN B.!!!!!
    Could you please send some of that lovely Washington weather my way…PLEASE!!!!! Right now it’s overcast outside and ever so lovely. I just wish it would stay this way!

    How are things going in your world?

  2. Perfect verses for a rainy day. I never noticed them before. It’s so surprising to me that after years and I mean years, of reading the Bible, I’ll read a passage and think- I never noticed that one before. Thanks Ellen – it’s beautiful.

  3. What a gift you have for loving and living! I rarely enjoy reading blogs about ‘what I’m doing,’ but your writing is both lovely and heartwarming. It reminds me of the veterinarian and author of All Things Wise and Wonderful–I think his name is James Herriott. How I treasured those books. Who knows–maybe one day we’ll find you on a bookstore shelf, too.

  4. LOVE these verses….beautiful pictures. Even with our crazy storm last night I can still say I LOVE rain. So is it humid in your world…it’s been so long since I’ve been there. We have the 80-90 degree or even 100 degree weather with 50-70% humidity. Makes it not quite so fun but my flowers are happy and I LOVE my flowers.

  5. What a wonderful passage of scripture. I read Psalm 104 to some elderly people this morning and they were encouraged. You have encouraged me…so we are good! The good thing about the rain..besides making everything green…is we don’t have to water. Our mud garden may not dry out for some time!
