Our challenge for January 30th is water. Just so happens I took about 200 or so photos of the wild California surf after our recent storms. I am narrowing it down to one photo.
If you like wild surf click here to see more of my wild waves!
Visit the Round Robin Photo Challenge Blog to see other entries. This is a twice a month challenge that I’ve enjoyed participating in. You might like to join in, also. We’ll hear what the new challenge is on Sunday or Monday for next time…
Photobucket is holding all my photos that I stored on their site from 2007-2015 hostage replacing them with ugly grey and black boxes and asking for a large ransom to retrieve them. It is a slow process to go through all my posts deleting the ugly boxes.
That is kind of hard from 200 photos narrow it down to one ^_^. Great shot and just like to ask does people do surfing here?

That’s a gorgeous shot Ellen – I love watching wild surf. But I don’t think our surf ever gets as wild as yours. I’ll just have to make a trip to the west coast 🙂
Hi!
Beautiful yet scary! Love all the action in this picture. Have a great day!

Beautiful, powerful water!
Wow! Those are awesome waves!
I played too 🙂
I love wild surf! I can hear the thunderous roar of this one!
That’s the perfect shot to show the POWER of water!
Have a great weekend, Ellen.
Hi Ellen B
That wave is just glorious! Makes me long for summer, and the chance to visit the beach with a good book, and my camera of course! 🙂

And I just heard that the drought has been officially proclaimed over. Those look like pretty fierce waves, Ellen.
Hello Ellen B.,
Your pictures of the crashing waves are simply awesome!! I’m just thankful they didn’t breech their perimeter and come into town. Was that storm fun or what? I liked it!
I hope you have a great weekend!!!
xoxo cori g.
WOW! I stand amazed.

ellen, I loved all the surf shots you posted the other day. I do agree this is probably the wildest of them! My “water” post is up! 🙂
Beautiful. Sheer power. I can hear the crash.
Amazingly Beautiful….I especially like the sun-shine on the wave that is about to curl!!
I had heard about the wild surf in California but I think this is the best picture I’ve seen of it. (I assume you are in California.) Such a dramatic shot!
Oops — I notice you do say you are in California. Pardon my goof — I think it’s been a long day. -grin-
Wild and wonderful! You make me want to drive to the nearest ocean – eight hours away. You also make me go brr! I followed the link to see more photos; good stuff!
Those waves look so scary! I’ll be content with just sitting by the beach and taking shots of those amazingly fierce waves.
What a powerful shot! I agree with another blogger post….beautiful but scary to me!!
