It’s time to get your outdoor shots together for Outdoor Wednesday hosted by Susan a Southern DayDreamer! Thanks Susan!
It’s great to be in Sunny Southern California again and to resume my walks with Willow! Sheesh, it’s been over 8 weeks since we last walked! The sun peeked over the Santa Monica Mountains as we started out. Willow said “that’s a nice shot”. So I said, “Okay I’ll take a picture.”Β When Bloggers walk they are always looking for a great shot.
After we made it up the first hill huffing and puffing a little (remember it’s been awhile since we’ve walked)Β we spotted this great Poinsettia plant and I thought of Ruby Tuesday…except it’s almost Wednesday so this will work for O.W.
Hope your week is going well and that you are surviving whatever weather is being thrown at you!!
Photobucket is holding all my photos that I stored on their site from 2007-2015 hostage replacing them with ugly grey and black boxes and asking for a large ransom to retrieve them. It is a slow process to go through all my posts deleting the ugly boxes.
I have never seen them in their natural setting. Very interesting!
Great bursts of color..
Enjoy your warmth, my dear!
Welcome back (clicking my heels saying there’s no place like home as I type). Love both shots and feel blessed to call California MY home too.
Hugs and blessings,
Your scenery seems somewhat brighter. The light is different in the south!
Wasn’t that a great walk today? I’m inspired all over again to do my daily walks.
Pretty!!! Oh, I long for some warm sunshine!!! π We got running the errands safe and sound today… I am thankful to the Lord for that!
What a nice picture of the sun peaking over the mountain!
You guyes in California are lucky – easy to see sunsets! On the east coast you have to be on the boat, or on some really curvy peninsular to see a nice sunset! Or get up really early to see the sun rise.
…I am berried!
Isn’t it the truth? Now that I’m blogging my camera goes every where with me. Glad you had yours along on your walk. These are great photos! ~ Sarah
We have snow and icy sidewalks here in Illinois. Malls are a favorite place to walk here but I prefer staying in the house when it is 8 to 20 above zero. Luckily we have an exercise channel included in our Direct TV package. I am so happy that you have nice weather and a beautiful path to take. It is good for your heart to walk. Yea! I see you brought the camera along. Nice job!

You at least have started doing what I need to do so badly. However, it is too cold here, but I will start soon. That plant is so pretty. Since I have not been to your part of the country much, I have seen one like it.
Love the shot of red!!! Lovely scenery
Well, it looks like you are right back in the groove! Nice photos.
Beautiful scenes and captures
Happy outdoor!
Welcome back to sun and warmth π
I remember seeing these poinsettias in southern california and along the mexican highway south of san diego….I want one!!!!
Come on over to see C shells!! For WEDNESDAY
Just beautiful and so warm looking. Missing my walks and so are the dogs, but when it is this cold I stay inside as much as possible.
Living it up at Lakewood,
Cindy
I didn’t realize poinsettia plants grew that big. Then again, I never thought of them growing outdoors. Plants like that are not natural here in Arkansas, especially now with our frigid temperatures. Loved the pictures. Thanks,
Winter weather in Tampa is COLD, I’ve discovered. It was 32ΒΊ last night. Happy OW.
I loved your photo. I’ve never seen poinsettias growing outside a green house. It looks like you had a grand walk. Enjoy Outdoor Wednesday.
The poinsettia sure is stunning in the wild!
Wow…and all this time i thought they just “came” in that lil green pot! π Thanks for sharing where they grow naturally.
If you get a moment –would love you to stop by — I’m going to start a new meme –Friday– Finding Beauty that I would love you to join!
TTFN~~ Claudia ♥ ♥
It’s time for me to get back to walking, too! I had no idea Pointsettias would get so big *out in the wilds!* I have only seen them from greenhouses!
Have a great Outdoor Wednesday!
Blessings!
These are great shots, and it looks like the weather is gorgeous. Loved the photo of the poinsettias, I had no idea they were that tall! Happy OW!
Hi, Ellen! Please, PLEASE send us some warm weather this way. We poor little Floridians don’t know what to do with this cold. It’s petrifying!
Happy Outdoor Wednesday! Love your pictures and am glad you are out and about and having fun in Southern California!
Hope your New Year is blessed…
XO,
Sheila π
Love the Poinsettia plant or is it a bush? The color really pops. Great shots.
