Because of our below freezing temperatures we’ve had for several days running I wanted to get up to Snoqualmie Falls to see what effect the weather was having there. It really was a sight to behold. The sun wasn’t cooperating with my trip timing and with my amateur skills for my shots to really show how grand the view was.
I plan to go again in the summer or after a big melt in the Cascades so I can get some shots of how full and furious the falls can be.
Photobucket is holding all my photos that I stored on their site from 2007-2015 hostage replacing them with ugly grey and black boxes and asking for a large ransom to retrieve them. It is a slow process to go through all my posts deleting the ugly boxes.
The photos are breathtaking; I can only imagine how much more so when it’s in front of you!
Amateur photos? Humbug. They’re gorgeous! That cascade against the ice–wow, I could hear the roar. Thanks for sharing these.
Awesome!
I’ve been there but it didn’t look like that. I chilly just viewing your photos.
Makes me think of Narina.
Those are just breath taking 🙂
Wow! How long will the falls stay frozen? Falls are beautiful in any weather!
Oh Ellen…my husband and I have been known to travel from waterfall to waterfall…never knowing where we might end up. These are images of beauty…thank you!
Wow…and to think you can drive to this georgous, God’s creation and take it in!!!!
I remember going there and being so impressed with the beauty! Your pictures are good…and it’s not easy to get them on an overcast day! Did you eat at the Lodge? What a meal it was way back when!!
How absolutely beautiful! And so cold looking.
Good Sunday Morning Ellen B.,
Your pictures are so stunning!! I love the shots where you can see the frozen spires. Are these falls close to your home?
