Window Views and Doors Too is a fun weekly meme with it’s own blog site hosted by Mary the Professor. Click on over and join in the fun showing us some doors and windows you’ve found.
My views this week are windows. They are from the Getty Museum in Los Angeles, California.
This is the main lobby that you first enter after coming up the hill from the parking structure on a tram.
There are a few magnificent “Period” Rooms with great furnishings and paneling.
The outside views are spectacular, too.
I highly recommend a visit to this Museum if you are ever in the Los Angeles Area. If you scroll down you can see more posts about the Getty Museum.
Photobucket is holding all my photos that I stored on their site from 2007-2015 hostage replacing them with ugly grey and black boxes and asking for a large ransom to retrieve them. It is a slow process to go through all my posts deleting the ugly boxes.
This is such an elegant looking museum. The main lobby is stunning.
WOW…I’m so glad you have so many fun things to share with us….
Great views of the Getty’s windows! The building is also impressive when seen from the outside.
Wow! Beautiful. I bet that have a full-time window cleaning crew. laurie
That is a beautiful museum. One thing I like what you do is you take plenty of pictures and post them in different areas so we get to see more of where you have visited 🙂
I had no idea they had these rooms. Now I’m really going to have to drag my hubby down there.

Wow! Look at all that glass! Very impressive place that I must visit soon! Very nice captures on your part!
What a stunningly bright lobby!
And a great view in that last shot.
that’s a lot of windows. If you want to wander down my road I’m home.
I love the brightness of the first shot!
I love the period room windows. What a great Getty Museum it’s been on your blog! 🙂
I love the modern spirals and windows
and then those wonderful period rooms!!
They are beautiful, but all I could think of was the amount of windex it would take to keep them clean.
Wow, what a fantastic contrast between modern and antiquated, between clean lines and dripping with ornamentation. A striking post.
The main lobby is full of light and lines – modern and clean. The red room and green room 🙂 are very ornate in design. I’m with Josie on the contrast. Looks like two different places and the best of both worlds.
The view – priceless!
Super post!
WOW
Great captures – they are soooo clear. what camera do you use?
Hi Simone…
A Pentax K2000 is what I used for these shots…
ellen, absolutely gorgeous rooms and windows! The modern windows of the Getty Museum lobby are astounding! 🙂
