Here’s what Karen originally had to say about this topic:
Bottled Up – Show us a bottle. Is it glass or plastic? Is it old? Is there a message inside? Will the contents give you a buzz, or help you fight a cold? You decide!
Maybe it’s not the bottle that matters, but the label. Kim of Nekked Lizard Adventures suggests this variant:
Your favorite wine label (or other favorite beverage)
Carly‘s suggestion focuses on what’s inside the bottle:
Quench My Thirst – Take a photograph of your favorite beverage, in an artistic light. Include a recipe if you have created a completely unique drink.
So there you go! Photograph a bottle or other drinking vessel, its label, and/or whatever liquid refreshment is inside. Make it artsy, make it fun, make it send us running to the fridge or the supermarket, or even the liquor store. It’s up to you! Just be sure to follow the usual guidelines:
A Favorite for the man of the house.
A Washington State Wine that is mighty fine…
Chateau Ste Michelle 2005 Canoe Ridge Estates Merlot
A twist on Sangria from California!

Photobucket is holding all my photos that I stored on their site from 2007-2015 hostage replacing them with ugly grey and black boxes and asking for a large ransom to retrieve them. It is a slow process to go through all my posts deleting the ugly boxes.
love that last photo… and this was an interesting ‘assignment.’ you know I have some old soda type bottles I keep on my kitchen window. They have reusable tops, so I occasionally use them to take drinks with us somewhere… the other day they were filled with lemonade and tiny slices of lemon. They looked so pretty and yummy what with the condensation around the outside and all. I thought at the time what a neat photo they were make.
I need a better camera;)
I’m going to have to try that one of these times. Great picture 🙂
Hi!
Looks delicious!! The photos are great! Have a great day!

The bottles are so pretty—I love glass bottles! And I like the way even your coasters picture bottles.
Love both of your photos of the bottles, very nice composition, and the sangria…..I must give that a try!
I’m always up for a new Sangria recipe…my 91 year old MIL LOVES Sangria so I love new ideas.
Great shots of bottles. I used to collect wine bottles as a hobby although I don’t drink (I’m allegic).
These are lovely bottles, great shot indeed.
It’s balmy hot in Hong Kong, 35C and with the humidity it’s deadly. Speaking of that, I should get myself a cold drink now!
Thanks for sharing your captures.
Hi Ellen 🙂
YUM! That sounds delicious! Beautiful photos!

That sangria sounds yummy! I haven’t had that in years. Great “Bottled Up” shots 🙂
very nice entry! I liked the recipe for the Sangria; haven’t made it in a long time; will have to try this one
I do enjoy wines from Chateau St. Michelle; enjoyable to drink

Very nice pictures, and great that you included the recipe for the Sangria. I am unable to drink alchohol because of my diabetic medications and some others but that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy looking! 🙂
Sound so yummy! I don’t drink alcohol due to religious belief.
Reading this I am now under my desk, hic !
