Three or More? ~

So I’m trying to figure out exactly what the 3 or more boundaries are. I’m going out on a limb here. I’m going to show you the inside of my kitchen cupboards in our home in Washington that definitely have more than 3 in all of them. I’ve been asked many times where I store all my thrift store finds. Where do I put all the dishes that I enjoy. On Monday for Metamorphosis  Monday I showed my kitchen with all my great cupboards. Well here’s what’s inside of them.

Everyday dishes, Italian Countryside by Mikasa, that I bought at Macy’s for a super price. Soup bowls and cereal bowls and tea mugs and dessert dishes that were all purchased at Goodwill or other Thrift stores..

Wine glasses, Water Goblets, and on the top shelf some of my creamer collection. Bottom shelf all our coffee making accessories…

Water goblets and Cocktail glasses. I really enjoy different styles and shapes of glasses.

Serving bowls, serving trays,  platters, and bread baskets.

My large platters and some cutting boards.

Cake plates and shower and tea plates, doilies, napkins, place cards, mirrored coasters.

More luncheon plates. Some thermoses. Oh and those old fashioned glasses for my gin and tonic ( don’t tell my mother).

The cupboard above the refrigerator. My sets of champagne flutes in their boxes for special occasions. My pitchers, vases, fondues, punch bowl, cookie cutters, etc.

Oh dear more glasses. These are the everyday kind and then some fun sets way on top. I think I could give water to 200 people easy in all different shapes and sizes of glasses!!

I really love these divided drawers for my flatware.

And right under my everyday stainless is another drawer with dividers for my serving pieces and extra stainless.

Knife drawer and knife sharpeners.

My Le Creuset and my bake-ware. Maybe I should just insert here that I was a Home Economics Major so these are just the tools of my trade. And while I’m inserting stuff…can you feel my pain that I am living 1200 miles away from all this equipment. :0)

My baking, measuring, and other stuff drawer.

More specialty equiptment and my large stock pots.

More bakeware. This is where the cake pans, bundt pans, muffin pans, pop over pans and mixing bowls, etc. are.

Springform pans, tart pans, pie pans.

The mixer and the food processor plus the large bowls and flour and sugar in the bottom of the pantry.

The tupperware I haven’t gotten rid of yet :0)

I’m so sorry for this boring post but now my insurance company knows some of what they’ll need to replace if anything happens!

So does anyone need to borrow something?

Photobucket is holding all my photos I stored with them from 2007-2015 hostage unless I pay them a lot of money. I’m slowly cleaning up many posts from this time period and deleting their ugly grey and black boxes with a ransom request. Such a time consuming bother.

  1. Girl, you just catalogued your kitchen library! Now all you have to do is refer to this post to remember where you stashed something! Hmm! Now I know where you stashed stuff in case I need it! 🙂

  2. Glory, I don’t know how long you’ve been living apart from your treasures or how much longer you will do so BUT that has to be hard…so many treasures and tools. Those are WELL organized shelves. Maybe this will get me motivated to attack my dining room buffet.

  3. Ellen, I’ll borrow those cake plates, and this wasn’t boring. I feel like I just went shopping! I dare say that qualifies as three or more because you have tons of great stuff in those cupboards! 🙂

    Happy Tuesday…

    XO,

    Sheila 🙂

  4. I’m sorry, I love you dearly ellen…but I’m looking at all those glasses thinking “someone’s gonna have one HECK of a yard sale once you’re gone!!”

    🙂

    good grief woman!

Don’t worry MM! They break as many as I can buy :0)

  5. OMG…your collections are HUGE, Ellen…LOL! I’m not sure I’ve seen so much glassware in one home…tee-hee…LOVE all you silver pieces…My kitchen is tiny, storage hardly any…maybe more space someday! ;o) Happy Days ((HUGS))

  6. Ellen B., you are SO FUnnY! That wasn’t a boring post at all…very humorous indeed! Here all along I thought you were so lucky being next to the water, but after seeing this I understand your pain completely. I too would be suffering if I knew I had all those marvelous implements and couldn’t use them :0!

    Have a fun day!

    🙂 Cori G.

  7. Now what are you going to do for an encore next week?!! lol!! I love your lazy susan that you have glasses on. How nice is that!! Everything is so well organized…are you available next week?!! ;>)

  8. Oh cupboard envy! I’m assuming you have a pantry for your food stores, or are there more cupboards with food?

Hi Abbey, Yep all the food fits in the pantry above the the Mixer and big bowls. It’s a floor to ceiling cupboard. I have spices closer to the stovetop…I forgot to take shots of those :0)

  9. Ellen, this is not boring at all. I thought it was a really fun post! Now that I know you were a Home Econs major — all the entertaining you do, and all your entertaining goodies make perfect sense to me.

Yes — would love to borrow some of your bakeware sometimes. My bakeware collection is dismal!

  10. Ok – I’ll admit it – I was one of the ones wondering where you stored all those lovely place settings – now I know!! You’re very organized – no crumbs in those silverware drawers! Want to come over here and put that Home Ec degree to work? 🙂 I’ll give you and a “g and t” – on the DL of course.

  11. I’m bookmarking this page so that when my DH complains that I have too many dishes, glasses, etc. I can show him your collections and he will back off! Love all your stuff!

  12. I’m in awe of the fact that you have that much storage space! lol! I didn’t think this was a boring post, not at all! In fact I saw some things in there that I want…like those big old mixing bowls :0) I do believe I saw some vintage tupperware also. You and I have our flour and sugar in the same type of tupperware :0)

  13. Hi Ellen I have trouble with “three or more” too…and I am not sure why!

I love your three or more…. you are so organized… your drawers look much like mine except you have more stuff!!

    Have a great day!

    Susan

  14. Well it is more than three! Great idea about the insurance. Hey Mr. insurance Agent just head out to bloggy world and see everything I own. I loved the water glass remark and I was cleaning my Christmas dishes and told my hubby I could make a hot Christmas drink for about 50. Great post, I loved it.

  15. Ellen, how you manage to live and blog in two separate worlds, amazes me. Do you have a remote photographer? I don’t imagine that your kids are using much of your baking and entertaining ware so it stays neatly in the drawers waiting for your return.

I didn’t realize how much wonderful storage space you have in that kitchen. It is remarkable! Did you add any of it or was it there already?
    I loved this revealing post.

Hello Kathy B., No additions, it was all there just as it is when we moved in. I’ve always really loved the kitchen and eating area in this house.

  16. Hi Ellen,
well if that post does not fit into the ‘Three Or More’ Meme then I don’t know what does.
WOW!!!! I agree with everyone else that stated this post needs to be bookmarked to defend ourselves against the family dish police, haha.

I would Loooooooove to go shopping at your house and that photo of your stainless drawer is awesome. Thank you so very much for participating in ‘Three Or More’ and remember as long as it’s 3 or more it qualifies…:o)
    Have a wonderful evening,
    Tam

  17. I think this is my favorite Three or More! Aren’t we ALL curious about what others have in their cabinets? I enjoyed the frame by frame “tour”…love the cake plates. Loved checking out what’s in the flatware drawer…enjoyed learning what you found at GoodWill- what a great source. Very fun post.
