These were the skies above the Santa Monica Mountains that I saw during a short hike last Friday. A storm was brewing and we were blessed with some great clouds in the skies above Southern California!
It’s not very often that we get interesting skies in Southern California so I’m throwing in the following collage of the skies from last week and the weekend.

Here in the bay area, we had the rains too. Sunday and Monday, the skies look so clean and crisp.

They are all lovely, but the top photo really conveys a sense of wide open spaces.
Ah, so you’re trying to rival Florida, are you? LOL! These are lovely. I especially like the one in the upper right of your collage. Do you have a bigger version of it posted somewhere? Such interesting shades of blue and gray in that one!

Wow. You have both the mountains and the beach.
You have some pretty clouds there in Southern California. The bottom two on the right look like they came from a snow machine that could make clouds. š

Wow – Ellen, I love the clouds especially…. they look so fluffy! They make me want to lay on them and look down from the sky! š
