Tablescape Tuesday ~ Bavarian Dishes

It’s time to visit Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for her Tablescape Tuesday.

This week I’m sharing a table setting of Bavarian china. This table and setting is in my condo in California. Most of my stash of table goodies are at my home in Washington so this was a fun challenge for me here.

I bought this set of Bavarian Dishes from a local thrift store. The silverplate flatware with B engraved on them was a wonderful find at Goodwill in Bellevue, Washington. The Pearl napkin rings were from Target clearanced. The napkins are from Sur la Table. The Goblets, Vase, and tablecloths came from Goodwill also.

I really like the iridescense in the tea cups and the gold handles.

  1. Hi Ellen,

Your Bavarian dishes look pretty with all the accessories, especially the tablecloth! The napkins match the dishes perfectly! You did marvelously — what time is dinner?! πŸ˜‰

  2. Hi Ellen,

It’s me again. Hahaha – that’s exactly what I thought too about “using” the pillow! πŸ˜‰

Have a great night. I’d better get off the computer and finish cleaning the kitchen.

  4. While it’s just lovely, I can’t help wondering where you are storing all this stuff….I’ve been to that condo. I think you hunted up Hermione and had her cast some spell….

Kelly, Don’t you be giving away my secrets now…

  5. What gorgeous china! And those napkin rings are great! This is such a peaceful table setting. Makes me feel like I would take my time and enjoy my food instead of rushing through a meal. Lovely. Laurie

  7. I can’t remember ever seeing cups that were made like this. The inside is most unusual and very beautiful. How fortunate that Sur la Table had napkins that are such a perfect match. Wonderful presentation all the way around.
