John 14: 1-6 ~ “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going. Thomas said to him, Lord we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way? Jesus answererd, I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
O Christ, Who Hast Prepared A Place
O Christ, who hast prepared a place
For us around Thy throne of grace,
We pray Thee, lift our hearts above,
And draw them with the cords of love.
Source of all good, Thou, gracious Lord,
Art our exceeding great reward;
How transient is our present pain,
How boundless our eternal gain!
With open face and joyful heart,
We then shall see Thee as Thou art:
Our love shall never cease to glow,
Our praise shall never cease to flow.
Thy never-failing grace to prove,
A surety of Thine endless love,
Send down Thy Holy Ghost, to be
The raiser of our souls to Thee.

that’s a beautiful door! love it!
Ellen…this is so wonderful!!!! And that photo you chose couldn’t be more perfect!!!
Hope your Sunday is a glorious, peaceful one.
And draw them with the cords of love. What sweet encouraging words and one of my favorite attributes of the Lord… He gently woos us to Himself.
Good Morning Ellen B.,
I hope you had fun at your party yesterday. Did you make it to the down town area at all? Lots of fun antiques shops to visit. I spent the majority of my morning at the Honda dealer buying a new car. It gets 28 miles to the gallon. Yippee!
Those doors you have above…are they from the B & B there in Ventura? We were going to stay there a few months back and the owners were in the process of selling. How sad for us. Do you know if it’s been sold and open for business because if it is I’M THERE!
Have a wonderfully blessed day.
🙂 Cori
HI Ellen B.,
Yes! I brought the car home and will post pictures later. It’s very cute and small.
Have a lovely Sunday!

Hi Ellen, These are wonderful words, “How transient is our present pain,
how boundless our eternal gain”!
Is the photo of that little church in Ventura? What a sweet shade of blue.
You have an impact on my subconscious, more than I realized. I left you a note in my comments of my hymn post today.
Our praise shall never cease to flow.
Amen!
Wow… what a beautiful old church!

Such encouraging words, Ellen. I love them! Especially these from the second verse:
How transient is our present pain,
How boundless our eternal gain!
Thanks for the wonderful reminder.
I wish I knew how this hymn goes – such wonderful words.
Beautiful hymn – I especially LOVE that church door. Is it from one of the churches in downtown Ventura also?
