Sky Watch ~ Memorial Day Skies

We have finally had some interesting skies here in Southern California this last week.

I managed to catch these clouds in the reflection in this beach pond.

The first three photos are from our beach walk and this last photo is taken through our car windshield on the way home from the beach on May 26th. I took the photo and I was not driving :0)

This last photo was taken on May 25th on the way to the airport to pick up Dear.

Photobucket is holding all my photos from 2007-2015 hostage and they have blacked them all out. I’m slowly working at restoring my posts without their help. Such a tiresome bother!

  1. WOW – Ellen – your pictures never cease to amaze me. My favorite is the reflection scene! What a great shot!!!

Have a wonderful afternoon. I am feeling a bit under the weather and am just now up and about to tend to my daily routines…

  2. Great series of skies. Don’t use them up all at once. Yes, do. Go photograph more. You do a great job.

The angle on the flower photo was great.

    Our sky is heating up.
    Come visit,
    Troy and Martha

  3. All the photos are beautiful!! They remind me of watercolor paintings! Each one is different depending on what is added or taken away….thinking of the elements that make weather.
I also enjoyed reading about the Orthodoxy book you quoted from. What more do you know about the author and his quest?

  4. Hi Ellen,

What beautiful photographs! Don’t you just love cloudy days like that? I hope your dear made it to the airport on time as that place can be a REAL nightmare.

  5. Gotta love the 2nd and 3rd picture 🙂 The reflection on the water makes what was actually a plain picture lighten up.
The flowers in the sky are gorgeous against the sky as well!

  6. Fantastic shots! I love the way the mountains hug the coastline. Beautiful… soft colors. Like the reflection shot… good use of puddles.
