Home Alone ~ What to Do?

Since Dear is somewhere north of Redding, California delivering a car from Southern California to Washington State for our daughter, I’m without my Saturday morning walking buddy. What should I do with my day all alone?

It’s coffee for one this morning so I decided to pull out the French Press.

Perfect amount for my big mug.

Well let’s see. My kitchen is clean already. My bathroom is clean already.

My livingroom is clean. My bed is made and the bedroom is clean. My office is OK. My huge garden is weeded and watered. Hmmm, and here it is 8:00 am already.

So I’m debating, should I go to Santa Barbara to pick up some necessities at Nordstrom? Our Nordstrom in Thousand Oaks doesn’t open until the fall and I hate to drive to the San Fernando Valley for the closer Nordstrom. Or maybe I should just drive up to Ventura and do some thrift store shopping. Decisions, decisions. Have a wonderful Holiday weekend everyone!

Photobucket is holding all my photos from 2007-2015 hostage and they have blacked them all out. I’m slowly working at restoring my posts without their help. Such a tiresome bother!

  1. You have a day full of options!! They all sound good and not one better than the other! Do it all!!! Thrift shop in Santa Barbara, have lunch at Nordstroms and then shop for yourself.
I wish my house was in such good shape!!

  2. Dear must have passed through Sacramento not too long ago. It is raining here! 100+ one weekend, chilly rain the next. We plan to leave for the cabin but I’m dawdling sp? because of the rain.

I would love to go to Santa Barbara with you to watch the master thrift shop shopper at work, and pick up some tips. Plus it would just be fun to be with you.

  3. Wouldn’t I love to trade your morning for mine! Roomie was cleaning while I was out shopping for necessities (why does it take 5 stores??) and A Certain Cat got out into the yard. But she came back in – whew! Hope you have a successful day shopping where ever you decide to go (I’d choose thrifting, myself),

  4. WAIT!!! YOU LIVE IN My neck of the woods!
    I live in Newbury Park
Let’s get together for some coffee one day if you are ever at the Oaks or in the area…(though I am leaving June 1st until June 30th)
    Email me!

  5. Ellen! I am so envious how you’ve gotten your house in order! And who says your have a brown thumb – your plants look pretty good to me! 🙂 Do tell us what you decided to do with your entire free day!

Comparatively…. I really need to devote one whole day to get all the laundary done, my bed made, the kitchen cabinets polished, bathrooms cleaned, vacuumed…. the list is making me dizzy! 🙂

    Have a wonderful weekend!

  6. Or you can drive up north and help me with my living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom which are definitely in need of cleaning. I’ll even put a full pot of coffee on! :v)
