Hi Ellen This takes me back! I think we used to sing only verses 1, 2, 3 and 5. It make me think of two other hymns we used to sing when I was a child – I wonder if you sang them too. Tell me the old, old story, and Tell me the stories of Jesus. It’s sad that they have fallen out of favour. Tears come to my eyes at the thought of them! Sheila
